Lupita Nyongo will be the new Black Panther. The opening of the trailer shows her in the Black Panther suit and she is missing from the rest of the trailer.

n the trailer the Queen/Bassett says her entire family is dead. It also shows Lupita giving birth to T’Challa’s child.

So, the Atlanteans attack. Shuri is killed in her attempt to take the BP mantle and defend Wakandan, or maybe captured and presumed dead. Then Nakia gives birth. Somehow a heart shaped herb is found and given to her, she is powered up and quickly recovers from giving birth (she may even take it while pregnant because she is seriously injured in the Atlantean attack.) Nakia becomes BP and queen regent. She fights Namor, and maybe also rescues Shuri.

Something like that.

What are movies where the final line of dialogue is the title of the movie?

I was watching Chinatown last night (great movie, btw!) and got to the final scene already knowing what the last line is, cause it’s famous and all, but only then clicked that the last word spoken is the title of the movie. (I know you can hear some cops sorta talking in the background as the camera pans out but I don’t think anyone would say that is the final dialogue in the movie).

Anyway, got me thinking, what are some other movies like this? Last words are the title of the film.

1- “And then they realized they were no longer little girls…They were little women.” – As read by Moe

2- Perfection

Djamgatech: Build the skills that’ll drive your career into six figures: Get Djamgatech.

3- “I am Iron Man

4- The Breakfast Club

5- “It’s Fantastic.”

6- “Say that again”

7- “It’s Fantastic”

8- “Guys, I think I’ve got it”

9- Fant4stic

10- I told my wife about my dinner with Andre

11- Queen’s Boulevard

12- “By the end of that summer of ’59, we truly were a Fellowship of the Ring.”

13- Mystery men ends with a reporter asking “who are these Mystery men?”

14- “Finally, an end to these Star Wars”

I’d argue he’s the second most powerful member of The Seven

(Note, I’m doing TV Show Black Noir)

Black Noir is my favorite character in The Boys only second to Stormfront (cause she’s hot). So I always wanted to publicly share where I scale Noir, but before I do this, I have to share a few stuff stuff.

  1. The Boys Presents Diabolical is mostly canon, specifically episodes 6,7 and 8.

That’s really all, now sit back and enjoy (or dislike) this answer.

  • Section 1: AP

Black Noir’s AP feat-wise isn’t too impressive since his speed is the real deal, but he’s still no joke since he’s able to fight and defeat Kimiko in a battle.

(I consider this fight to be an outlier since Black Noir should be faster than her, but it doesn’t change the fight since Black Noir is stronger)

And keep in mind this is the same Kimiko that survived attacks from A-Train

And even reacted to A Train while he was going fast

Kimiko speed feat
Imgur: The magic of the Internet

This says a lot since she was badly damaged while fighting Noir (Had to use her self healing to survive), and she didn’t even get harmed that much while fighting A-Train since she got back up a few seconds later.

And he has shown himself to be much stronger than Starlight in multiple instances

This is the same Starlight that survived an attack from Stormfront (Same with Kimiko)

And Starlight tanked a Serbu BFG 50A with no injury

Starlight durability #1
Imgur: The magic of the Internet

So already Noir scales above Kimiko and Starlight and scales above A Train due to a better performance aganist Kimiko, you could also argue his AP being at least on par with Maeve due to the tree nut scene and her deciding to use tree nuts instead of fighting him.

But it’s an iffy argument, doesn’t really matter though cause I think Noir beats her regardless.

  • Section 2: Speed

My favorite section yet.

Noir is stated to be much faster than a car

Not too impressive but this is just the start.

Black Noir was consistently able to dodge Homelander’s beams

And dodged Homelander himself

Blacknoirvshomelander GIF – Find & Share on GIPHY
Discover & share this Blacknoirvshomelander GIF with everyone you know. GIPHY is how you search, share, discover, and create GIFs.

I made an answer as to why Homelander is Hypersonic+ at least and his lasers are faster, check it out

Homelander is narratively potrayed to be the most powerful being in The Boys and should be the fastest

Not only that but Black Noir is consistently able to counter Homelander’s beams with his knives and is fast enough to throw them

No one in The Boys has shown a good speed feat like Black Noir just for this (excluding Homelander) not even A Train has shown anything like this.

  • Section 3: Durability

Doesn’t show too much but he’s able to tank a bomb from Naqib

With minor injuries to him

And tanked explosions previously as well

  • Section 4: Others

Not too much but he’s great at Martial Arts, Stealth, Weapons, etc. He’s basically Batman

I hope you enjoyed the answer, wanna thank some people who remain annoymous for proving the scans to some of these

  • Everybody Wants Some!! is overlooked.
    by /u/First_Extension_3977 on June 24, 2024 at 2:35 am

Now I love Dazed and Confused but it's not one of my all time favorites. After liking Hit Man on Netflix last weekend, I was watching some interviews with Richard Linklater and Glen Powell, in one of them they mentioned Everybody wants some and I was surprised I hadn't heard of it until now, which is odd because I watched Boyhood back when it came out. This somehow flew under the radar. Coming to the film, I see it as a spiritual successor to both Dazed and Confused and Boyhood. College movies aren't a big genre like high school movies, but this one is so relatable in many ways. Every college has a group of friends like this. It doesn't reinvent the wheel or anything, but it's a solid hangout film that doesn't get made much lately. I wasn't even alive in the 80s but it made me feel nostalgic for it. Glen Powell is hilarious but Wyatt Russell steals the show imo. And do watch for the post credits! submitted by /u/First_Extension_3977 [link] [comments]

    by /u/TheMaddieBlue on June 24, 2024 at 2:21 am

I saw a reel or clip on social media the other day of a movie scene (like most posts and reposts, there was no sauce to be found). It had a woman who was floating horizontally, and she had a long white dress, dark hair (I think) and a crown made of crystals that looked like quartz. The cavern was full of large, quartz like crystals. I absolutely love crazy older fantasy/science fiction films and shows, and would like to know the name so I can try and watch it. Non sequel related movies that could work as a double feature. Even if they talk about the same thing but show different experiences. Like the opposite side of the coin deal. Bonus for out of the box thinking double features, but absolutely not mandatory. It can be from any decade, it can be animated or live action. It can be in English or in another language. submitted by /u/NotSoSnarky [link] [comments]

  • Bittersweet Endings Hurt the Most
    by /u/Holiday-South-6249 on June 24, 2024 at 1:51 am

I've watched movies with the most joyful, positive, everyone-gets-what-they-want endings; I've watched movies with the most depressing, cynical, how-could-anyone-ever-watch-this-again endings. Both types of movies are great in their own ways. But movies with bittersweet endings, where they kind of get what they want but also suffer greatly for it? Those are the movies that break me. Literally leave me with a heavy heart, crying, angry, despondent. I'm not even sure why, exactly. Maybe it's knowing that the characters, despite suffering, didn't get the complete happiness they deserved? Or at least they're happy but also had to settle for half-happiness, not exactly what they wanted? (Like, movies like Forrest Gump and The Fox and the Hound make me bawl despite having relatively happy endings. Even more so than movies like Aftersun or Requiem for a Dream.) submitted by /u/Holiday-South-6249 [link] [comments]

  • Feral Girl Movie
    by /u/1337Carbon on June 24, 2024 at 1:00 am

Not sure if it was English. A woman moved into a house in a forest. At some point, she found a feral girl. The girl was eventually taken into custody, and tried cleaning her up and learning about who she was. I don't remember if it ended up being a horror movie, or a suspense movie, I just remember I enjoyed it. Sometime between 2010 and 2013. It wasn't Mama. It was just 1 girl from a forest, super dirty. • Best scenes where the villain realizes they are no longer in control
    by /u/DavianVonLorring on June 23, 2024 at 11:21 pm

I was rewatching Training Day and one of the scenes that stick out to me the most is when the tables turn on Alonzo at the end after the neighborhood sticks up for Jake and allows him to walk away with the million dollars. It was that point that Alonzo realized he was no longer in control. All of his power, his influence, and his instilled fear were all pried away from him in just those moments. He watches Jake walk away with his entire life on the line and there wasn’t a thing he could do about it, and he knew it. Everything he built himself up to was completely demolished. It made it very cathartic and made me wonder what other good scenes there are where the villain loses control of everything they had. submitted by /u/DavianVonLorring [link] [comments]

  • Does generation Z enjoy the Austin Powers movies or find them offensive and outdated?
    on June 23, 2024 at 11:03 pm

I recently watched Austin Powers with my nephew. He found half of it funny, but the other half he didn't really get. Some jokes he thought were racist and not funny. This made me wonder, Gen Z, do you like these movies, or do you find them offensive and outdated? Personally, I found these movies of really funny. I love that Mike Myers has the laugh. Per minute dialed up in these movies. There’s constant jokes nonstop jokes. Definitely some of the jokes lost their luster from when I was 19 years old. But the jokes are still there. • What scene always makes you laugh?
    by /u/Old_Marsupial_7080 on June 23, 2024 at 10:58 pm

It doesn't have to be a comedy necessarily. One of mine is in The Wizard of Oz after Dorothy and The Crowdly Lion wake up from the witches spell cause it was snowing and the lion gets up and says. "Unusual weather we're having ain't it." That line is so small yet everytime it makes me laugh. I also love Kevin Hart's small part in the 40 Year Old Virgin. That whole scene with them arguing is just hilarious. submitted by /u/Old_Marsupial_7080 [link] [comments]

    by /u/Murphythedoge on June 23, 2024 at 10:48 pm

At the beginning there was a scene where they were at school. After that, the boy maincharacter went somewhere with a woman (mom?) and a driver (butler?). Then he is taken to a tropical island with expensive futuristic infrastructure and inhabitants/workers. The island is owned by his father. There was a scene where the boy was at the beach with his father and he gave the boy a futuristic guntoy that he could skip stones on the water with really far with many bounces On the island, there is an underground bunker with huge different colored robots that have specific numbers. The boy has a couple of friends with him and they go to the bunker unsupervised and launch some kind of alarm. At some point, a gang of villains starts chasing the children through the tropical woods and one of the villains drove an ATV or something. In the final scene, the villains have broken a bridge (in London), causing a bus full of people to fall into the water. They are rescued by a yellow submarine robot. submitted by /u/Murphythedoge [link] [comments]

  • Russell Crowe’s singing in Les Miserables is kind of goofy, but it’s still a good performance overall in my opinion.
    by /u/Odd_Advance_6438 on June 23, 2024 at 10:08 pm

I just watched the movie and thought it was really enjoyable, though the main reason I watched it was because I saw bits of Javerts singing and thought it was funny. Now that I’ve seen the whole thing, I appreciate his role a lot more. Some of it still makes me unintentionally laugh, but the singings not even bad. The scene of his death and guilt over assuming the wrong culprit both paint Javert as less of a straight up villain and more just someone who’s doing what he thinks is right submitted by /u/Odd_Advance_6438 [link] [comments]

  • Anyone Watch a Movie Battle Scene and just Observe the People in the Background Fighting Instead of the Main Character?
    by /u/thePolemistisAy on June 23, 2024 at 7:21 pm

In any battle scene, I like to watch the extras in the background performing their roles in order to make the fight feel more large, they add realism and they remind the audience that these are characters too with their own stories outside of the main protagonist's. Dune Part 2 Battle of Arrakeen - On two occasions each, A Fremen is seen full on jumping on a Sardukar's chest to pin them to the ground. - A Fremen is seen slashing a Sardukar and proceeds to kick him to the ground. - Two times I saw Fremen grabbing a Sardukar and body slamming them to the ground. - One of those Fremen gets a double kill. - And so many others sliding, flipping and doing cart wheels to dodge attacks as they proceed to pin and brutally stabbing Sardukar men. Gettysburg 1993 Pickett's Charge - I saw two times of Confederate flag bearers getting strucked. But another soldier sets down their rifle to pick the flag back up to continue the charge. - In the chaos of soldiers fighting in melee, a Union soldier is seen beating a Confederate soldier with his rifle. - Another Union soldier smacks and stabs a Confederate. Then is about to stab another Confederate to save a Union soldier before the camera cuts to the next scene. - In the shot of the field of injured Confederates, one brave Confederate soldier tries to march up towards the wall only to be shot down. Lord of the Rings Helms Deep - Pretty noticeable, but you can see an Uruk Hai grabbing and throwing an Elf off the wall. - When Aragorn is running up the stairs, an Elf down below is taking a brutal beating from an Uruk. Siege of Gondor - An orc is riding on the battery ram and is rightfully shot for being in such a position. - Loved the shot of Gondorian soldiers stabbing orcs after seeing many shots of Gondorians being beaten and bitten. Battle at the Black Gate -When Gandalf is listening to the moth, there are two Gondorian soldiers behind him being beaten badly by orcs. And I was screaming for Gandalf to turn around and help them quickly with your one hit sword. Pirates of the Caribbean The Moon Battle - A pirate pulls a British officer over the railings and proceeds to land on him with a knife. - A pirate grabs a British soldier and throws him to the ground. - In the background I think there's a filming mistake. A British sailer is seen fighting nothing. Probably because of they used the footage of the British actors fighting nothing and forgot to combine it with the footage of both pirate and British characters fighting. The Maelstrom Battle - I love Will and Elizabeth's wedding ceremony. But I commend their crew in the background who are holding off the cursed pirates and British ETC soldiers as best they can. And to make sure no one interrupts their marriage kiss. Any you guys know of? submitted by /u/thePolemistisAy [link] [comments]

  • Released on this day in 1989: Honey I Shrunk the Kids and Batman
    by /u/ryhoyarbie on June 23, 2024 at 6:35 pm

Batman helped create a more interesting and less cartoony atmosphere compared to the tv show Batman (no offense). People still love Keaton as Batman, Nicholson did a good job as Joker, and add the music by Danny Elfman and the gothic look of Gotham as well. On the flip side, Honey I Shrunk the Kids was a very imaginative concept. Shrinking 4 kids and having the set echo of what it would be like if they were outside in grass was interesting. submitted by /u/ryhoyarbie [link] [comments]

  • Anatomy of a Fall - Snoop
    by /u/rocketeer07 on June 23, 2024 at 4:14 pm

I finally watched this and doesn't it seem like this was all an accident caused by Samuel slipping on Snoop's toy ball? The movie opens with the ball falling down the stairs and Snoop bringing it back up. He probably was playing fetch with Samuel. Then we see Daniel giving the dog a bath, so the ball was maybe left in the attic with Samuel and when he got up he tripped and fell down the window. >! The most interesting clue that made me wonder if this was it was the silent verdict part. The only sounds during that part (subtitles confirm) are Snoop's paws against the floor and him drinking from a water bowl. Then the final shot also ends up with Snoop being hugged by Sandra. Bonus: There is a remix of P.I.M.P., (which is a major part of the plot) featuring Snoop Dogg. !< submitted by /u/rocketeer07 [link] [comments]

  • Cold Mountain Cast
    by /u/jmc128 on June 23, 2024 at 3:24 pm

Sitting down and watching Cold Mountain (feel like it’s one of those movies that I’ve seen scenes of but never given a proper watch) I am blown away by the caliber of the cast (particularly the supporting cast). Jude Law, Nicole Kidman, and Renee zellwegger are superstars my themselves - but then add in Donald Sutherland, Natalie Portman, Cillian Murphy, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman and it seems like every new scene introduces a household name. Even the minor characters are recognizable if not stars (e.g. Giovanni Rbisi, Brendan Gleason, Jenna Malone). Did this movie get lucky with its timing and most of these actors were not yet A-listers or was it such a large production with a budget that could afford this roster? submitted by /u/jmc128 [link] [comments]

  • What are the best "Do your even know who I am" moments in movies?
    by /u/Crosgaard on June 23, 2024 at 2:20 pm

I'm not just talking John Wick or other action movies (like Nobody or Taken), but they do count. I just mean scenes where some character has no idea who they're dealing with, and me, the viewer, want them to just let loose. Here are some examples; - Fellowship, Legolas telling Boromir who Aragon is Good Will Hunting, the bar scene Gladiator, "My name is Maximus Decimus Meridius" Oldboy, "Can 10 years worth of imaginary training be put to use? Apparently it can" Warrior, everyone at the school seeing Brendan fight Superhero movies/shows are gonna fit the bill here, but I've watched a ton (all MCU and DCEU movies), and they often suck at it. Spider-man 2 was pretty good at it tho, but then again, it's Spider-Man 2 submitted by /u/Crosgaard [link] [comments]

  • If you've ever watched "Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story" before watching "Walk the Line"...
by /u/HotOne9364 on June 23, 2024 at 10:04 am forget the latter movie was meant to be taken seriously. Don't get me wrong. It's not like a parody automatically ruins the movie it's making fun of. I can still watch Star Wars even after watching Spaceballs. The difference is that Spaceballs was made with all the affection in the world for its subject matter. Walk Hard was made specifically to destroy movies like Walk the Line, movies that are nothing more than obvious Oscar baits that get a lot of info wrong, just to make a commercial project out of its subject matter. Walk Hard wanted biopics to be more than that and did everything it could to mock it. Sadly, with films like Bohemian Rhapsody showing more than a decade later, it didn't work out but it should have. submitted by /u/HotOne9364 [link] [comments]

  • Went into ‘Edward Scissorhands’ thinking it was a horror film..
    by /u/mmuno23 on June 23, 2024 at 5:27 am

I know this movie has been out for almost 34 years and it’s one of Winona & Johnny Depps most notable films, but I just never got around to watching it. Mostly because I’m rarely in the mood for a horror film… but I could not have been more wrong. Edward Scissorhands deserves a hug and all the grass bushes in the world!! He might just be the sweetest character ever written in a movie, definitely one of Tim Burtons best films IMO. I’m not afraid to say that I shed a few tears at the end..JUST WOW, completely blown away but how good it was, the set designs, costumes, writing, score (Danny Elfman is the man), the acting (love u Dianne Wiest & Anthony Michael Hall), etc., definitely going to rewatch it during the fall!!🍂 submitted by /u/mmuno23 [link] [comments]

  • Shocking left turns in unexpected movies, i.e. not thrillers or whodunnits?
    by /u/thatdani on June 22, 2024 at 11:06 pm

I love a good "whoa" moment in a movie, especially when it's bizarre or provokes a sincere shock. Think the character reveal in Source Code, the 3rd act of Sorry To Bother You, the bus scene in Nobody. But I genuinely can't name a bigger WTF moment in a movie than the blonde hair and swastika reveal in the classic 2005 Vin Diesel family-comedy The Pacifier. It caught me completely off guard and bewildered as to where the fuck they were going with it. Like 5 minutes later it's explained, but it still felt like a slap across the face in such an otherwise paint-by-the-numbers comedy. submitted by /u/thatdani [link] [comments]

  • What’s the oldest ‘modern looking’ movie you can think of?
    by /u/spellbreakerstudios on June 22, 2024 at 9:29 pm

I was getting hyped for Twisters and was looking to order a 4k bluray copy of Twister. I watched it a couple of years ago again and remember how epic it looked. Was stunned today to see it came out in 1996. I’m a big fan of Star Wars and think they look really cool, but when I see it it definitely does have an ‘older’ feel. Wondering what the oldest movies you can think of that might trick a viewer into thinking it’s modern? submitted by /u/spellbreakerstudios [link] [comments]
