If you’re wondering how to get someone’s IP from WhatsApp, you’re not alone. This is a question that’s often asked by programmers, developers, and software engineers. After all, smartphones are becoming more and more powerful and WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging apps in the world. However, getting someone’s IP from WhatsApp is not as simple as it sounds. The app uses a number of security measures to protect users’ privacy, so it’s not possible to just extract someone’s IP address from a chat session. That said, there are ways to work around this issue. Programmers and developers with experience in reverse engineering can sometimes find ways to get access to WhatsApp servers and extract IP addresses from there. But this is definitely not something that the average person can do. So if you’re looking for a quick and easy way to get someone’s IP from WhatsApp, you’re out of luck.
This is something that might work, the author did not try it himself.
And then install any command prompt from google playstore like termux
Close anything that uses internet by clicking disable on all apps who use internet
and then open whatsapp and try to make a voice call or a video call with that person
and then during the call open Termux and type this command : netstat -n
If the connection was really peer 2 peer as whatsapp says his IP must be one of the foreign IP Addresses you would see on their Terminal.
*Note: if won’t work if the connection was not peer 2 peer you would see the server IP instead of his IP, I said i did not try it*

One of the most frequently asked questions from WhatsApp users is “How can I get someone’s IP from WhatsApp?” The answer to this question is not as simple as it may seem. Programmers and developers have created a number of ways to obtain someone’s IP address, but none of these methods are foolproof. The most reliable way to get someone’s IP address is to ask them for it. However, this isn’t always possible, and it certainly isn’t the most elegant solution. If you’re looking for a more sophisticated method, you can try asking a software engineer or smartphone developer. They may be able to help you figure out how to obtain someone’s IP address from WhatsApp. However, keep in mind that this isn’t an exact science, and there’s no guarantee that you’ll be able to get the information you’re looking for.

I don't know if I'm losing my mind or not but I feel like the visual appearance of the app on the contact list etc is different now. Am I just imagining things or did they change it submitted by /u/tradtrad100 [link] [comments]

Hi folks, I want to join WhatsApp again after 1 year without using it. I'm currently stuck with restoring the last local backup I made last year in April on Android 9, but apparently there is no way? Now I'm on Android 14. I don't have any cloud backup available. I tried all the methods and tricks, like using GBWhatsApp, downgrading the apk, etc..but nothing works. submitted by /u/nohupmusic [link] [comments]

So my sisters account got hacked (someone phished her on the phone, pretending to be her mobile provider, got a lot of info from her then used that info to log into her whatsapp, then proceeded to message her friends, pretending to be her, asking for money, even used a voice recording of her to fool them). When she tries to log in her account says "This account is not allowed to use WhatsApp due to Spam." or something like that. I've read that a ban like this only lasts like 60 days, my fear is that the scammer will be able to use the account again in 60 days, I want to prevent that. How does she re-claim her account and change her password and make sure the scammer can't use the account? submitted by /u/fiveonethreefour [link] [comments]

Me and my bf has a common friend on WhatsApp. And he happens to post a story but it is showing on my phone but from my bf’s phone any wp stories are not visible. Is it hidden on purpose? If so, how to do it? Or is it just a glitch? submitted by /u/Superb_Weight4860 [link] [comments]

I moved from Colombia to Spain and after a couple of weeks, I changed number in WhatsApp to reflect my new Spanish number. At some point, tinkering with locked chats I ended up deleting my conversation with my wife with very important memories on it. Simple solution, delete Whatsapp, let it restore from the backup, couple of messages that hadn't been backed up will be lost, but nothing serious. Things were going smoothly, backup was located in my Google account and after downloading the part related to messages alone (no media), it started restoring them. Couple of seconds later "Unable to restore chats from this backup" It suggests using another account, which makes no sense because the account I used is the one with the one backup I needed. I followed every tutorial, suggestion. I uninstalled it, I cleared caches, I upgraded it. I did everything possible. Same. Error. Every. Time. Until I finally found a solution that worked. I started applying my learned stoic values to deal with the loss, and I can thank Meta and WhatsApp for presenting me with that obstacle in the way, because I had to learn from it and stop being stuck in the past. Is WhatsApp a trustworthy mechanism for messaging that allows you to move with an unique account regardless of changes in gender, country, and political views? No, WhatsApp is a really unreliable application, and I wish I could stop using it and use another one, but everyone uses WhatsApp so I honestly have no choice. Hoping that WhatsApp dies, forever, and is replaced by something reliable and kind with your memories. submitted by /u/im_caeus [link] [comments]

It's been a long time since these messages and I have been talking to this person after that for a long time yet the blue check never came. And they are using Whatsapp on their phone, so it's not a pc thing. submitted by /u/Katy5859 [link] [comments]
