I have obligations to remain in a few WhatsApp groups but a lot of times unnecessary or repetitive media are received in these groups. In this regard I have turned off the auto-download setting for the media but it's applied globally to all the chats/groups. Is there a way to do it only for certain groups/chats leaving the setting unchanged for other groups/chats? Good day, Plz my whatsapp account was permanently banned 2months ago and as i just checked after 2months it was unban . tho my account was deleted so i just created a new one with the banned number . So now i tried running bulk messages i didnt knw it will lead to a ban so immediately i sent a repeated message to 5people i was ban again permanently. well i did run bulk messages before my account was permanently banned the first time but that wasnt the reason for the 1st permanent ban . The 1st permanent ban was due to 3things 1 adding lots of people to my group 2 i tried posting on my status if you want your account to be unban dm and make payment The last one was becoz i used a mod whatsapp so they permanently banned it on october 2023 i just checked it now it was unban i tried running bulk message again i was permanently banned for the 2nd time will they reinstate /unban my account after 2months or will my whatsapp number be banned for life .PLZ HELP submitted by /u/Mountain-River3810 [link] [comments]

Hi all, I'm trying to manage a what'sapp group and/or community as a kind of bulletin board for a local cycling club. It should send general information about events and also permit members to provide live feedback - especially a quick way to get push notifications on their phones around events - e.g. "anybody forget a green jacket?". What'sApp seemed perfect. Problem is I can't figure out any way for members to post without revealing their phone numbers. Maybe it's not possible, but under community -> announcement settings, what'sapp has an apparent "Phone number privacy" setting. Clicking indicates my phone number is visible in this chat as I'm the admin. That's fine, but as far as I can tell, only admins can post in the community announcements, so how is this even a "setting". If I create a group within the community, then it behaves just like any other group and phone numbers get shared again (bizarrely they're only masked when they already exist in my contacts). When I text my brother, the second grey check no longer appears. When I call him on regular call, it rings approx 6 times and goes to voicemail. When I call through WhatsApp, it rings approximately 13 times then goes to “no answer”. If it matters, I believe he has Verizon as a provider and is based in the U.S. Thank you in advance. My family and I haven’t heard from my brother in a few months now and we have been concerned. Assumed that was it uninstalled the windows version, then shortly after the ban was lifted I was banned again. I'm recently using this number for phone calls only and I have never done an WhatsApp account before. I'm only using WhatsApp with the number from the country where I was born. Is it because this foreign number had another owner before and that's why this number stays there still? I have been getting random pictures showing up in my camera roll that say they came from whatsapp when I look at the info. And no they did not automatically save from chats I have had on WA. I rarely use WA it may have been open in the background but I did definitely not receive any chats with pictures. Support so far has been useless. I did spend an hour on the phone with apple support and gave them access to my phone to try and figure it out. I have icloud turned off so not from there.
