Please check if this resonates and helps some of you in this community! 🔗 GitHub I face some ad-hoc workflows related to generating Entra OAuth tokens for local API testing at work. I built this tool to replace those scattered scripts and the Dev Tools copy-paste workflow we all know too well. Connect your app registrations, point to Key Vault, and issue app or user tokens on demand. I tried to factor in some of the latest best practices when it comes to secret management and other things. But do let me know if I am missing something critical or introducing any vulnerabilities. 🔒 Disclaimer: Entra Token Studio is an independent project and is NOT affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Microsoft Corporation. - AZ-104 Passed! First Timeby /u/Limp-Perception-4575 (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on December 13, 2025 at 3:36 am
Good evening everyone, I learned a lot from this community while preparing for the AZ-104 exam, so I wanted to give back by sharing my experience. I passed the AZ-104 exam on my first attempt with a score of 929 today after 3 weeks of intensive studying. https://preview.redd.it/bzxjew356w6g1.jpg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bd84bdbfcf5848781a32d1639a313a16ed822801 It’s definitely a challenging exam. I was honestly quite nervous going in, especially after hearing about its notorious difficulty. Study resources I used: Microsoft Learn Tutorial Dojo Alan Rodrigues (Udemy) Scott Duffy (Udemy) John Savill (YouTube) AI & Cloud Skills Hub (Youtube) I also used ChatGPT extensively. For example, when reviewing Tutorial Dojo questions, if I got something wrong or didn’t fully understand it, I kept asking why until the concept really clicked. That iterative learning helped a lot. Regarding the exam itself, I couldn’t use Ctrl+F on Microsoft Learn during the test. For me, it wasn’t very helpful anyway and ended up costing time rather than saving it. Best of luck to everyone currently preparing. Thorough understanding really makes the difference. Thank you, and good night! submitted by /u/Limp-Perception-4575 [link] [comments]

- I built an Azure change-tracking & monitoring tool - looking for feedback + beta testersby /u/StratoLens (Microsoft Azure) on December 12, 2025 at 8:43 pm
Hi All, For the past 6-8 months, I've been working on a tool that will help Azure Administrators monitor their infrastructure. It originally started as an automated documentation tool (because we all love documenting our infrastructure), but it's evolved over time. I'm at the point where I'd really like to get some feedback, so decided to start here on Reddit. There's only so much testing I can do in my own personal lab environment without breaking the bank, so I'm also currently looking for beta testers. I'm *not* accepting payment for this yet - though I do plan for it to be a paid product in the future. I consider this to be in closed beta - by invite only - and it will be free during the beta period. I hope this doesn't break the rules of this reddit community, and that this post is acceptable for Free Post Fridays. If not, then I apologize to the moderators in advance. The tool is called StratoLens - I have a website here: https://www.strato-lens.com/ The site describes the features of the tool, and has a video demonstrating many of the capabilities. At this point, I'm mostly looking for feedback from the members of this community. Does this look like a tool you might be interested in using? Which of the Features are most interesting to you? I'd also love to hear any 'pain points' you all currently have that this tool might not yet solve. Any feature ideas? If you don't want to click the link above, here's a brief description of what StratoLens does: Deploys in your own azure subscription using Container Apps and Cosmosdb, along with a managed Identity which gets *read only* access to your environment. Uses azure's API and Resource Graph to scan your infrastructure, including deployed resources, activity logs, costs, and more. Scans can be run manually, but can also be scheduled via a configurable interface. Its designed to run a scan every 4-8 hours. All Data Is kept in your azure infrastructure - NO data leaves your environment. Typical cost to run the tool: Most users should see it cost less than $10/month. What features are available? Change tracking - StratoLens will detect any and all changes to your infrastructure between scans and give you a focused view to see exactly what resources were added, removed, or modified. Think of this like a 'git commit' difference. It also tracks changes to your defender and advisor recommendations, so you can easily see when new ones come in, or old ones get removed. Resource History - It can show you a timeline of changes for a single resource. Think of this like a 'file history' in git - show me any time this resource changed, and exactly what changed. Cost Anomalies - It'll detect cost spikes - such as when a resource suddenly has a cost increase - and correlate that with the above change tracking. Orphaned Resources - such as unattached disks, public IP's, and NSG's that aren't associated to anything. Network Visualizer - Automatically detect Network Layout and visualize it for you. Role Assignments - See *all* users that have access to your azure resources in some way. This automatically expands group memberships, so if User1 has access via Group1, User1 will be listed in this view, and show exactly what they have access to. Access Optimization - Correlate Role Assignments with Activity logs to identify users who no longer use their access or may be over provisioned. Example: User has 'owner' access but hasn't made any RBAC changes in the past 6 months, consider reducing to Contributor. (The time window is configurable) Example: User has 'contributor' but has made no changes to your resources in 9 months, consider reducing to Reader. There's actually quite a lot more features here. They are all documented much better on my website above. The frontend runs as a container in your azure subscription, and you authenticate using your EntraID account (Via an app registration). You can add multiple users, and there are different roles available (Read only, Access to run scans, access to modify scan schedules, etc). Installation is handled through a single command in Cloud Shell - it downloads and executes a terraform deployment to provision the resources, and then installs the app on the containers. It takes less than 10 minutes to install (mostly waiting for resources to provision). I'd really love to hear some feedback if anyone has any after checking out the video or the features list on the site above. Thank you in advance for taking a look! submitted by /u/StratoLens [link] [comments]

- Weird OnVUE behavior during AZ-900by /u/winchester25 (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on December 12, 2025 at 6:17 pm
TL; DR: a weird stuff related to the connection, or software itself happened. Hi, folks! I've just tried to check-in to AZ-900 certification, and I've got some strange behavior with OnVUE software. Probably, it's more related to OnVUE itself rather than Azure Certification board on Reddit, but since we're here, I want to describe what happened. Welp, here's the thing: I was waiting in a queue, and here's my turn. Proctor asked me to retake my ID photo and I completed this part. Then proctors tried to contact me, and that part was really strange: I got spammed with multiple call notifications, like each of them were a half of a second long, but I've got 10-15 of them with the message like "Calling"/"Disconnected". I was told that I'll receive phone calls, then I received about 5 little notifications again, and I was forced to reschedule my exam. I'm not sure the connection is the part of the issue, but that was definitely uncomfortable. Did it happen to you, folks? Because it somehow scared me, and I'm afraid it was a software bug which prevented me from passing an exam. submitted by /u/winchester25 [link] [comments]

- Can I deploy a Lovable-generated React frontend to Azure while keeping Supabase as the backend?by /u/Moonlit-Muse (Microsoft Azure) on December 12, 2025 at 4:44 pm
Hi everyone, I’m working on a SaaS platform generated in Lovable AI. The app uses: React + Vite (frontend) Supabase (PostgreSQL, Auth, Storage, and 13 Edge Functions) A multi-tenant setup with RLS AI features implemented inside Supabase Edge Functions I want to move the frontend only to Azure Static Web Apps or App Service for production deployment, while keeping all backend services (DB/Auth/Edge Functions/Storage) in Supabase. My questions: Is this hybrid setup (Azure frontend → Supabase backend) fully supported without breaking authentication, RLS, or Edge Functions? Are there any issues I should expect with CORS, auth redirects, or calling Supabase functions from an Azure-hosted site? Has anyone deployed a Lovable/Supabase app this way before? Any gotchas with environment variables or build settings? Should I expect any problems long-term keeping backend on Supabase but hosting the frontend on Azure? Would appreciate any real-world experience or guidance before I move our production deployment. Thanks! submitted by /u/Moonlit-Muse [link] [comments]
- Azure support asks me to sign up for Azure Student Developer Pack with an ALT account.by /u/Trixis2 (Microsoft Azure) on December 12, 2025 at 4:34 pm
I need to get a second opinion. A few days ago, I tried to sign up for the Azure student developer offer through the GitHub developer pack offering. But for some reason, it told me that I was ineligible and asked me to contact support if I believed there was a mistake. So I went ahead and created a support ticket, asking why I was ineligible. A few days later, I got a call from a support representative at Azure. She told me that my current personal account was ineligible for the developer pack since I had a payment method attached to the account. Then she told me that there may be a way around it, but that she wasn't able to tell me over email and asked me not to mention it in text either. This was because she told me she shouldn't tell me this, but wanted to help me anyway. She instructed me to create a new personal email, create a new GitHub account with it, and then sign up for that ALT account for the GitHub student offering. That way, "the system would not know the accounts are for the same person, and it would let me through" (something like that). I asked if this was against their TOS, and could put my main account into jeopardy, which she assured me it wouldn't. We then ended the call, and I went ahead and did what she told me. When I came to the step to verify my student identity, it asked me for my academic email. Naturally, it didn't let me through since I've already claimed the pack on my main account. However, my university has two different versions of the emails, one with a slightly different domain. The other version of the email was accepted by GitHub, and it let me through. But right before I pressed the send button, I reflected a bit and second-guessed myself. I know she said that this wouldn't put my main accounts at risk, but I'm not entirely convinced. I really feel like creating a secondary account and claiming the student developer perks again would be considered abuse. I really do not want either my GitHub account or Microsoft account to get suspended (and in such a case, I wouldn't be able to argue that a Microsoft representative told me to do it, since it happened over a call, off the record). She also told me that this issue wasn't uncommon, so I wanted to ask you here before I do anything. Have any of you experienced this? Is doing this safe? - How to avoid false-positive “Available Memory Bytes” alerts on Azure VMs when they’re deallocated?by /u/No_Instruction1578 (Microsoft Azure) on December 12, 2025 at 3:25 pm
I’m monitoring an Azure Windows VM using the metric Available Memory Bytes with these settings: apr-AvailableMemoryBytes = { enabled = true frequency = "PT5M" window_size = "PT15M" severity = 3 criteria_aggregation = "Average" criteria_metric_name = "Available Memory Bytes" criteria_metric_namespace = "Microsoft.Compute/virtualMachines" criteria_metric_operator = "LessThan" criteria_metric_threshold = 3000000000 }, The issue: Whenever the VM is deallocated or starting up, Azure Monitor reports 0 for the metric, which immediately triggers a false positive alert (Available Memory = 0 < threshold). This happens even though the VM is simply offline or booting, not actually low on memory. Question: - How do you avoid or suppress these false-positive alerts for stopped/deallocated/starting VMs? - Is there a best practice for handling metrics that return 0 when the resource isn’t running? submitted by /u/No_Instruction1578 [link] [comments]

- AZ-104 Preparationby /u/alfiehealy (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on December 12, 2025 at 2:11 pm
Hey everyone! 👋 I recently passed AI-102, AI-900, and AZ-900, and now I’m moving on to AZ-104. I’m trying to decide which learning path to follow and could really use some advice from people who’ve already taken the exam. I’m currently stuck choosing between these three courses: • Scott Duffy • Alan Rodrigues • Cloud Lee If you’ve used any of these for AZ-104 prep, which one helped you the most? Are there any underrated resources or must-do practice tests/labs I should include? What did you use to pass, and what would you recommend for someone coming from the AI exams? submitted by /u/alfiehealy [link] [comments]

Hi, I haven’t been able to sign in to the Azure portal since this morning, I don’t understand... Everything was working fine yesterday. I tried everything but nothing works. I’m getting the error 'AADSTS50000'. Is the problem coming from me or from Azure itself? edit: issue has been resolved! submitted by /u/Asels4n [link] [comments]

Azure Certification Path 2022- 2023 for someone with no experience coding
This is what I would recommend as the path since you have no coding experience:
AZ900–>AZ104–>SC900–>AZ305 or AZ400 or AZ500 -> AI900
Azure Fundamentals –> Azure Administrator –> Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals –> Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Azure Security Technologies
or Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
That being said, I’d recommend learn scripting as that would come in handy for this admin path expert. If you passed SAA, I’m positive you can pass any cert with proper dedication.
FYI – I created this free tool to carve out your certification path. Give it a try here. Open to feedback on how it can be improved for everyone.
Certifications for Microsoft Azure
There’s a Microsoft certification for you, whether or not you’re thinking about what Microsoft Azure is and where to start, or where you should go next in your cloud job. There are around 16 Azure cloud assertions open. Here is an overview of current Microsoft Azure assertions.

For security engineers responsible for peril the leaders, checking, and response, the Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate confirmation is required. It requires completing the SC-200 appraisal.
Test SC-300 is required for the Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, which is for heads who use Azure AD to manage IAM.
What might be prudent for you to do first?
In particular, you should make certain with regards to what a Microsoft Azure confirmation is and isn’t. Is simply clear? Phenomenal! Then, at that point, we ought to explore three circumstances that can assist you with picking where to start.
“I’m new to development. I’m essentially uninformed in regards to this ‘cloud’ that is quite serious.”
You can sort out some way to cloud in the event that you’re the kind of person who counts “Microsoft Word” as a specific capacity on your resume. On the off chance that you’re just beginning started, a section level certification will outfit you with the language and understanding you’ll need to all the more promptly analyze your ensuing stages. The AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals accreditation is your first stop on the Azure road.
The cloud might be alarming, yet the capacities you’ll get as you seek after this accreditation will help you with understanding it in a way that even an all out beginner can understand — especially if you have the right getting ready. (Look at me as a hotshot, yet I think our Azure Fundamentals getting ready is astonishing.)
“I have a fundamental cognizance of the cloud.”
Perhaps you’ve worked in the IT field beforehand. Perhaps you’ve attempted various things with AWS, GCP, or Azure. Do you accept you’re ready to make a dive? Press the brakes. Start with the Azure Fundamentals affirmation, if you haven’t at this point. In the best circumstance, you’ll see it to be a breeze. Regardless, paying little heed to how far you advance in Azure, this accreditation will give the establishment to future accomplishment. The accompanying crosspiece on the ladder (Azure Administrator Associate) can be an inconvenient one to ascend. Before dealing with it, you’ll need all of the Fundamentals data notwithstanding a huge load of Azure included knowledge.
Here are different Azure Certifications (Microsoft Certified)
AZ-900
For beginners, this is the best Microsoft Azure accreditation. It’s an unprecedented spot to start on the off chance that you’re new to appropriated processing or Microsoft Azure. This one would be Azure 101 if test names appeared to be okay and acceptable.
Test AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals ($99 USD) is required.
There are no fundamentals.
For whom this is for?
In a general sense, everyone. Non-particular individuals with a cloud-related calling, similarly as new or cheerful designers or IT experts, could benefit from acknowledging what the cloud is and isn’t. Any person who needs to comprehend the Microsoft Azure environment should have the data expected to complete this evaluation.
Fundamentals DP-900 Microsoft Certified
For inescapable data focused cloud subject matter experts, this is a significant beginning advance assertion.
Test DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals ($99 USD) is required.
There are no fundamentals.
For whom this is for?
This helper is for informational collection draftsmen and data base administrators who are essentially starting with cloud data.
AI Fundamentals AI-900 Microsoft Certified
This Microsoft Azure affirmation exhibits that you appreciate the fundamentals of man-made mental ability (AI) and AI (ML) in Azure for amateurs with both particular and non-specific establishments.
Test AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals ($99 USD) is required.
There are no basics.
For whom this is for?
Reproduced insight Engineers, Data Scientists, Developers, and Solutions Architects with a working data on AL and ML, similarly as Azure organizations related with them. This affirmation, like the others in the Azure Fundamentals series, is normal for those with both specific and non-particular establishments. That proposes data science and PC programming experience aren’t required, but Microsoft recommends making them program data or experience.
Administrator Associate AZ-104 is a Microsoft attestation.
For the IT swarm, this is the rudiments of Azure organization. This takes you from a fundamental perception of the cloud to having the alternative to perform cloud tasks (and get repaid to do them).
Test AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator ($165 USD) is required.
For whom this is for?
This affirmation is for IT specialists and administrators who screen cloud assets and resources and direct cloud system. This test is (mistakenly) seen as an entry level test, yet you’ll need to know an immense heap of anticipated that information should pass and do whatever it takes not to have your AZ denied.
Azure Container Apps:
Azure Container Apps is a serverless offering you can use to host your containers. It is a good fit for containerized apps and hosting microservices. Integrated services like KEDA, Envoy proxy, and Dapr provide you with out-of-the-box auto-scaling, ingress, traffic splitting, and simplified microservice connectivity.
Container Apps service is built on top of Kubernetes. Container Apps are an Azure Resource Manager deployment object, meaning you can’t just use your existing Kubernetes object descriptions and migrate them to Container Apps. You need to rewrite your deployment stack using Bicep or ARM templates. Terraform is not yet supported.
