Azure Breaking News – Azure Certifications Testimonials
- Proctor ended my exam for using learn option - updateby /u/coadtsai (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on October 2, 2023 at 6:41 pm
(1) Proctor ended my exam for using learn option : AzureCertification (reddit.com) I am now being told that I used my mobile phone during the exam and that they apparently saw it in my glasses. It is BS because of 2 reasons, 1 my phone isn't even in my arms reach. It was way behind me on my bed and two the only thing I did was using MS learn during the exam and try a bunch of options in adjusting the browser trying to keep it in a kind of split screen mode. I also played around with the dark/light themes of the exam, this is exactly the same time my exam was cancelled. I still think this is the only reason they could have "deduced" I was using my phone or maybe I am telepathic and didn't know here are some direct quotes from the support staff. This was double verified by the Coordinators and they were able to confirm a cellphone was in use, sorry. Do you have further questions regarding this Case resolution? The information shared above is the same they added. They saw in your glasses the cellphone. And the best part? There is no way to dispute this without using my phone only on weekdays excluding holidays between 9 and 6. I must waste my time further disputing this verbally smh. submitted by /u/coadtsai [link] [comments]

- Spent $40 when I was expecting a few cents, but can't find out whyby /u/Dr4WasTaken (Microsoft Azure) on October 2, 2023 at 5:40 pm
Today I started to use Azure's blob storage, I'm connecting everything to my API so as I implement the code I did nothing but upload a few files, download those files and delete those files, around 1.5gb total uploaded and downloaded once, based on the information of the pricing window I should have spent a few cents, but somehow I spent $40 of my $200 free tier, I'm very confused as to why I spent so much and would like to see the reason, but all my pricing information is empty, I assume that it is because I'm on my free tier, but still this is useless to me if the charged prince will be so high in comparison with the expected price, am I looking in the wrong place? https://preview.redd.it/10uohxgyotrb1.png?width=1618&format=png&auto=webp&s=4d4eaad28f5fd160922f2ebf6ce529d4952e9729 https://preview.redd.it/py96lshiptrb1.png?width=1519&format=png&auto=webp&s=27bcf8186d527af1c259610bce56ba4cd034199c submitted by /u/Dr4WasTaken [link] [comments]
- What's the suggested method for securing accounts used to run PowerAutomate workflows?by /u/StandingDesk876 (Microsoft Azure) on October 2, 2023 at 4:19 pm
I feel like I'm running in circles here and could use some direct assistance. I have to imagine this is a very common scenario. We have a few Azure accounts that are currently User accounts being used to run PowerAutomate workflows. The Azure Security Defaults are causing an issue with Multifactor Authentication requiring re-authentication nearly every day. These workflows need to run indefinitely without human aid. I've looked at Conditional Access for the account as well as creating an Azure Enterprise App. I'm not finding a solution for Conditional Access to function indefinitely for a "service account" that could be signing in from any location. But I'm new to this and could be overlooking something. The Azure App solution seems to require security keys rather than user credentials so I don't see how that works with connecting to a SharePoint or Teams or Form action in PowerAutomate. I've found examples of this connection working for Dataverse but not so much else. submitted by /u/StandingDesk876 [link] [comments]

- Networking, Data Transfer Out questionby /u/Vmont900 (Microsoft Azure) on October 2, 2023 at 3:40 pm
What is Networking, Data Transfer Out? I have a virtual machine streaming in obs almost all day and I only have one web page open at all times. In the subscription it shows that I have exceeded the GB that they give in the free account. I think that once the month of my credits ends, will I have to continue paying? How do I not consume that transfer? Should I close all internet pages or should I also stop transmitting by obs? submitted by /u/Vmont900 [link] [comments]
- Trying to wrap my head around Private Link Endpoints for Azure Storage Account (Files) with ADDSby /u/JrD3vOps (Microsoft Azure) on October 2, 2023 at 2:42 pm
I've been looking to use Azure Files for some new file shares I am migrating and as part of that I have created the relevant storage account, permissions etc. Now I'm trying to lock down access to the storage account to specific VNET's and on prem networks. I've got the VNET part working and added the external IP of my on prem firewall to the 'firewall' section. My issue is that using Azure P2S VPN and my on-prem firewall VPN (forticlient) can not access the file share (guessing to do with split tunnelling). So I have been instructed to look into private endpoint connections to resolve this issue. The bit that is confusing me is that how can I successfully use this in an environment where my Azure environment is connected to on prem via a S2S connection? Some videos and articles say to Azure private DNS zones, some say to modify my internal DNS (windows DNS) with an additional zone and also use conditional forwarders (privatelink.file.core.windows.net) but I have not seen a straight solution for what I thought was a common scenario? Please help me understand and let me know if I am just being dumb! submitted by /u/JrD3vOps [link] [comments]
- Storage Account GZRS failover and backby /u/_Berny (Microsoft Azure) on October 2, 2023 at 2:34 pm
Hi Folks, I was reading about the geo redundant zone storage feature and became a bit disappointed because the storage account (SA) only replicates to one availability zone in a secondary region. So let's say I created a SA with GZRS to a second region and then trigger a failover, the second region now becomes the leader. But now I have only local redundancy. How do I get back to the previous situation and setup GZRS again? Is that even possible? submitted by /u/_Berny [link] [comments]

- Passed 104 with 927!by /u/Leimone (Microsoft Azure Certifications) on October 2, 2023 at 1:58 pm
What a feeling! Screamed at the laptop when I saw that I passed and pleasantly surprised I scored so high. I did the exam 2 weeks ago and got a 687. Honestly, I learned soooo much from studying to this cert - things I had no idea at all about prior to this cert. Some questions are quite weird and not sure why MS wants you to memorize very specific things about different SKUs for example. I had to work a lot on truly understanding VNets and everything inside it. I've written a list below on different areas I recommend being very strong in, it's translated to english as it's originally written for colleagues. (There is A LOT to cover) Load Balancer SKUs (Basic vs Standard) - Ensure you understand when each is compatible with VMs and how (e.g., Basic can only work with VMs in an availability set/VMSS Azure Load Balancer SKUs | Microsoft Learn. DNS - When using which DNS type and which DNS server VMs use in a VNet/network link DNS Zones and Records overview - Azure DNS | Microsoft Learn. ARM Templates overall. Hard to be specific here as it's very random what you get. Usually has something to do with users or deploying vnet/VMs/managing disks- Different backup solutions (Recovery Service Vault, Backup Vault, Backup policies, SAS) - when to use each and which services are supported by each solution. Also, be aware of whether they are region-locked, etc. Everything about VNets, including various networking questions. Make sure you understand how a VNet, subnet, NIC, gateways, IP forwarding, IP overlaps, service tags, NSG flows, IP flows, connection monitor, log analytics, update & fault domains, VPN, etc., work. Storage accounts - when to use which type and what they support (e.g., blob versioning, access tiers, backups, premium blob/fileshare). Governance - Typically involves individuals having specific roles and responsibilities and whether they have permission to perform certain actions, yes or no. Also, be aware of the inheritance concept discussed previously. Primarily focused on RBAC-related questions. Bastion - Ports it uses (443) and Bastion SKUs. Locks - What they mean and what you can and cannot do. For example, if a resource group is "read-only," you can still move resources in and out of it, but you can't make changes to the resources within that resource group. submitted by /u/Leimone [link] [comments]

- Display Artifacts with Latest AVD Clientby /u/StopBidenMyNuts (Microsoft Azure) on October 2, 2023 at 12:54 pm
Has anyone seen any RemoteApp display glitches or artifacts using the latest AVD/Remote Desktop client (1.2.4582)? We are hosting a medical application suite on AVD and recently pushed out the latest client to end users. Numerous folks have since reported artifacts when interacting with the applications, including form controls (checkboxes, text fields) not immediately updating when used and random horizontal lines. This does not occur when using the web client. Resizing the application window will eliminate the display artifacts and show the correct state of form controls until the next time the user interacts with the applications. Any help is appreciated. Thank you! submitted by /u/StopBidenMyNuts [link] [comments]

I did the classes through Cloud Guru, but they’re practice exams do not do a good job mirroring the exam. I did practice exams from Tutorial Dojo and it was almost identical. If I had heard of tutorial dojo before starting classes then maybe I would have tried it, but Cloud Guru seemed to update theirs to match Microsoft constant changes pretty often. submitted by /u/BertoWithaBigOlDee [link] [comments]
- Questions about best practices static web appsby /u/Ok-Fun-2807 (Microsoft Azure) on October 2, 2023 at 12:18 pm
Hey all! I am new to azure and have set up hosting with static web apps and was wondering about two things: - The web app now has a name like *******.azurestaticapps.net , of course I want this to be our domain. I see I can click in the portal and setup custom domains, but this requires manual work. I'd prefer to provision everything with bicep. Is there any way to do this? I have verified my domain under 'Custom domain names'. Or would it just be easiest to setup a CNAME with the external DNS provider tot the *******.azurestaticapps.net. I was under the assumption that no i have verified mydomain.com I can easily set up the static app to be test.appname.mydomain.com , or is this false? - I saw static web apps have a 'preview' page. I want to use test and prod environments for my SWA, but I figured its better to just create 2 seperate SWA's instead of using the preview page. That way I also have a test env for infrastructure/setting changes. Is this correct? Love to hear back from you all! Have a good day. submitted by /u/Ok-Fun-2807 [link] [comments]

Is most threads, the same advice repears. Udemy, MS Learn, John Savill, Tutorials Dojo etc. You seldom see advice to read a particular book. In a way I understand it. Azure Certification Path 2022- 2023 for someone with no experience coding
This is what I would recommend as the path since you have no coding experience:
Azure Fundamentals –> Azure Administrator –> Microsoft Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals –> Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Azure Security Technologies
or Designing and Implementing Microsoft DevOps Solutions
That being said, I’d recommend learn scripting as that would come in handy for this admin path expert. If you passed SAA, I’m positive you can pass any cert with proper dedication.
FYI – I created this free tool to carve out your certification path. Give it a try here. Open to feedback on how it can be improved for everyone.
Certifications for Microsoft Azure
There’s a Microsoft certification for you, whether or not you’re thinking about what Microsoft Azure is and where to start, or where you should go next in your cloud job. There are around 16 Azure cloud assertions open. Here is an overview of current Microsoft Azure assertions.
Nuts and bolts Level Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals
Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Fundamentals
Accomplice Level Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Stack Hub Operator Associate
Expert Level Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
Microsoft Certified: Azure IoT Developer Specialty
Microsoft Certified: Azure for SAP Workloads Specialty
Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty
There are also two other Microsoft assertions that are Azure-related. While we won’t cautiously depict them in this post, dependent upon your master way and limit, they might justify researching.
For security engineers responsible for peril the leaders, checking, and response, the Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate confirmation is required. It requires completing the SC-200 appraisal.
Test SC-300 is required for the Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, which is for heads who use Azure AD to manage IAM.
What might be prudent for you to do first?
In particular, you should make certain with regards to what a Microsoft Azure confirmation is and isn’t. Is simply clear? Phenomenal! Then, at that point, we ought to explore three circumstances that can assist you with picking where to start.
“I’m new to development. I’m essentially uninformed in regards to this ‘cloud’ that is quite serious.”
You can sort out some way to cloud in the event that you’re the kind of person who counts “Microsoft Word” as a specific capacity on your resume. On the off chance that you’re just beginning started, a section level certification will outfit you with the language and understanding you’ll need to all the more promptly analyze your ensuing stages. The AZ-900 Azure Fundamentals accreditation is your first stop on the Azure road.
The cloud might be alarming, yet the capacities you’ll get as you seek after this accreditation will help you with understanding it in a way that even an all out beginner can understand — especially if you have the right getting ready. (Look at me as a hotshot, yet I think our Azure Fundamentals getting ready is astonishing.)
“I have a fundamental cognizance of the cloud.”
Perhaps you’ve worked in the IT field beforehand. Perhaps you’ve attempted various things with AWS, GCP, or Azure. Do you accept you’re ready to make a dive? Press the brakes. Start with the Azure Fundamentals affirmation, if you haven’t at this point. In the best circumstance, you’ll see it to be a breeze. Regardless, paying little heed to how far you advance in Azure, this accreditation will give the establishment to future accomplishment. The accompanying crosspiece on the ladder (Azure Administrator Associate) can be an inconvenient one to ascend. Before dealing with it, you’ll need all of the Fundamentals data notwithstanding a huge load of Azure included knowledge.
Here are different Azure Certifications (Microsoft Certified)
For beginners, this is the best Microsoft Azure accreditation. It’s an unprecedented spot to start on the off chance that you’re new to appropriated processing or Microsoft Azure. This one would be Azure 101 if test names appeared to be okay and acceptable.
Test AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals ($99 USD) is required.
There are no fundamentals.
For whom this is for?
In a general sense, everyone. Non-particular individuals with a cloud-related calling, similarly as new or cheerful designers or IT experts, could benefit from acknowledging what the cloud is and isn’t. Any person who needs to comprehend the Microsoft Azure environment should have the data expected to complete this evaluation.
Fundamentals DP-900 Microsoft Certified
For inescapable data focused cloud subject matter experts, this is a significant beginning advance assertion.
Test DP-900: Microsoft Azure Data Fundamentals ($99 USD) is required.
There are no fundamentals.
For whom this is for?
This helper is for informational collection draftsmen and data base administrators who are essentially starting with cloud data.
AI Fundamentals AI-900 Microsoft Certified
This Microsoft Azure affirmation exhibits that you appreciate the fundamentals of man-made mental ability (AI) and AI (ML) in Azure for amateurs with both particular and non-specific establishments.
Test AI-900: Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals ($99 USD) is required.
There are no basics.
For whom this is for?
Reproduced insight Engineers, Data Scientists, Developers, and Solutions Architects with a working data on AL and ML, similarly as Azure organizations related with them. This affirmation, like the others in the Azure Fundamentals series, is normal for those with both specific and non-particular establishments. That proposes data science and PC programming experience aren’t required, but Microsoft recommends making them program data or experience.
Administrator Associate AZ-104 is a Microsoft attestation.
For the IT swarm, this is the rudiments of Azure organization. This takes you from a fundamental perception of the cloud to having the alternative to perform cloud tasks (and get repaid to do them).
Test AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator ($165 USD) is required.
For whom this is for?
This affirmation is for IT specialists and administrators who screen cloud assets and resources and direct cloud system. This test is (mistakenly) seen as an entry level test, yet you’ll need to know an immense heap of anticipated that information should pass and do whatever it takes not to have your AZ denied.
Azure Container Apps:
Azure Container Apps is a serverless offering you can use to host your containers. It is a good fit for containerized apps and hosting microservices. Integrated services like KEDA, Envoy proxy, and Dapr provide you with out-of-the-box auto-scaling, ingress, traffic splitting, and simplified microservice connectivity.
Container Apps service is built on top of Kubernetes. Container Apps are an Azure Resource Manager deployment object, meaning you can’t just use your existing Kubernetes object descriptions and migrate them to Container Apps. You need to rewrite your deployment stack using Bicep or ARM templates. Terraform is not yet supported.
