- Why Meta (Facebook) choose Microsoft Azure?by /u/licedey (Microsoft Azure) on May 26, 2022 at 7:36 am
Here is a post - "Microsoft's metaverse rival Meta chooses Azure as strategic cloud provider". I am just interesting why Azure, not AWS or GCP. Actually, does Meta can't setup own datacenter for their AI-purposes? In general, my interest is why companies from small businesses to Meta choose Azure. submitted by /u/licedey [link] [comments]
- in azure AD B2C, is it possible to use a user flow to implement SSO between 2 oauth applications?by /u/golemwashere (Microsoft Azure) on May 26, 2022 at 7:33 am
Hi, I would like to have 2 oauth/oidc applications in the same tenant. If I login to app1 using an user flow link (custom signin/signup), I would like that then calling app2 with another SSO link could be redirected from azure idp to automated oauth login. Can this implemented with a user flow or do I need to write a custom policy? Can someone point me to relevant examples? Thanks! submitted by /u/golemwashere [link] [comments]
- AKS multiple services each of them have own LBby /u/nejnej25 (Microsoft Azure) on May 26, 2022 at 4:49 am
So here's my scenario, I deployed ingress-nginx-1 in my cluster and spawn up a public load balancer after that I spawn another which is ingress-nginx-2 type loadbalancer also they have different public ip address. Checking in the azure portal, I saw that there's only 1 LB and it has 2 frontend IP config which is those 2 public addresses for my ingress. Now, is there a way that each ingresses has there own LB? submitted by /u/nejnej25 [link] [comments]

- CallerIpAddress is a Private IP when coming from a Public Site?by /u/Nostalgi4c (Microsoft Azure) on May 26, 2022 at 3:13 am
I have a Storage Container gen2 that is destined to be accessed via a shared key. In order to lock it down, it has a networking white list to only allow specific IP's to connnect to it. After enabling logging and attempting to connect to the storage container, the CallerIpAddress of the attempt is a private IP (10.37.x.x). The Azure account that this storage account belongs to has absolutely nothing close to that range (it's a new account), and i cannot whitelist a private IP in the networking rules. The storage account is not currently part of any VNet either. There is no LB or additional firewall between. Anyone able to ascertain why the log shows the request coming from a private IP? (It is a SaaS service attempting to connect to the container). submitted by /u/Nostalgi4c [link] [comments]

- Cannot Edit/Save Conditional Access Policiesby /u/gannnnon (Microsoft Azure) on May 26, 2022 at 12:30 am
When I try to change an existing Conditional Access policy, the Save button will not turn blue for me so I cannot save the change. I've confirmed this is happening in 3 different tenants, and tested across different browsers/devices, InPrivate, clear cache/cookies, etc. Same behavior each time. I am global admin in all tenants. I can create new policies, and edit those -- for a bit. After sign-out and sign-in, I cannot edit the new policies I just created today to replace the other non-editable ones. Is anyone seeing the same? Can anyone do a quick test for me? Just go into an existing CA policy, change anything about it (just try turning it off or Report-Only mode) and see if the Save button turns blue or remains grayed-out. No need to actually save it, just see if the button allows you to. I am able to make changes in Powershell with no problems, so that is thankfully working. Just trying to get a sanity check on this thing. submitted by /u/gannnnon [link] [comments]
- What would be the biggest cost for a site like twitter/fb?by /u/Unfair-Address-3597 (Microsoft Azure) on May 26, 2022 at 12:17 am
Is it storage, machine cpu/ram, network traffic? For storage, I’m guessing azure blob storage for media, azure cosmos db for non-media, and azure sql database for transactions. - Why does the subscription key have product=
when I select a Product?by /u/backwards_dave1 (Microsoft Azure) on May 26, 2022 at 12:16 am
I noticed in the APIM test tab, it has <subscriptionKey>product=<productName> for the Ocp-Apim-Subscription-Key when you select a Product from the drop down. Why doesn't it just set the subscription key to be whatever key is set for that Product? https://preview.redd.it/63fbpkymqp191.png?width=583&format=png&auto=webp&s=79ee573b99d9ccd36c644a4b94c9b61a2e5f7ec2 submitted by /u/backwards_dave1 [link] [comments]
- AD vs AAD vs Azure VM with ADby /u/That_One_IT_Guy98 (Microsoft Azure) on May 26, 2022 at 12:15 am
Hey all, In the past, I've worked with typical AD setups in large companies (300-2000 users, on-prem servers, all of that). Now, I'm tasked with getting something set up for a company with 10-15 users and ~25 devices. Currently, there is NOTHING set up. I'm looking and weighing the options. Option 1: "Standard" AD setup after purchasing a small tower server to serve as a DC. Option 2: Hybrid environment - "standard" AD setup and implementing Azure AD with AAD Connect. This seems odd to me since it's seeming more common for this setup to be used by companies who have a solid on-prem setup and slowly offloading some of that the Azure. Option 3: Azure VM to host AD and AAD. Now, this one I may not fully understand the best method for, so if this sounds ultra-noobish, please let me know! But for this, it seems that we can create an Azure subscription with a basic Windows Server VM and then install AD/ADDS like we would as if it's on-prem and thus basically having a "hybrid environment" but hosted on Azure. Option 3.5: This is where the noob in me REALLY comes out. I see that on Azure's site they show THIS. If I'm understanding it correctly - this is an Azure service that takes the place of ADDS. This seems to be an alternative to setting up ADDS on an Azure VM. Option 4: Full Azure AD. While the company is small and has no prior AD set-up, this seems scary to me. In the past, Azure AD has felt barebones and ultra-simplified to me. Is this a viable option? I see that there are mentions on Azure's site about Azure AD being included "free" with normal M365 licensing. Is this true? How needed would the Azure P1 or P2 licenses be? Would this allow for any domain-joined computers or anything like that? I'm relatively familiar with the user management side of Azure AD, but unsure how robust the PC/group management side is. Thanks, y'all. I truly appreciate any insight you can provide. I've found some great information in THIS previous post, but obviously, his situation is a bit different. submitted by /u/That_One_IT_Guy98 [link] [comments]

- Bastion and RDP w/Native Clientby /u/bigolyt (Microsoft Azure) on May 25, 2022 at 10:23 pm
Im using a Mac... and cant use the az network bastion rdp command so I've been trying the az network bastion tunnel command. I can get the tunnel to work (I use --resource-port 3389 --port 49155 for my ports). Once the tunnel is open I run my native RDP client (RoyalTSX), specify IP and port, but it doesnt want to connect. I can connect just fine using the bastion portal but want to connect to multiple servers at a time and it doesnt look like the bastion portal allows that as I keep getting disconnected from my initial session when trying multiple VM's. - Working with logic apps, http trigger, service bus queue and filesby /u/prinkpan (Microsoft Azure) on May 25, 2022 at 9:23 pm
My current logic app (standard) workflow uses HTTP trigger and forwards the request to a service bus queue which is then picked up by another workflow. Everything is working as expected. Now I need to handle file uploads in HTTP trigger. I have following concerns: How can I receive files using HTTP trigger? How can I pass these files to service bus queue? submitted by /u/prinkpan [link] [comments]
