What is Ramsay Hunt syndrome?
Ramsay Hunt syndrome, also known as herpes zoster oticus or geniculate ganglionitis, is a rare neurological disorder caused by the varicella-zoster virus, which is the same virus that causes chickenpox and shingles.
This condition occurs when the virus infects the geniculate ganglion, which is a collection of nerve cell bodies that lies within the facial nerve. The facial nerve is the seventh cranial nerve and is responsible for controlling the muscles of the face, as well as transmitting taste sensations from the front two-thirds of the tongue.
The symptoms of Ramsay Hunt syndrome include severe ear pain, a rash on the ear or in the mouth, facial weakness or paralysis, dizziness or vertigo, and loss of taste sensation in the front two-thirds of the tongue. These symptoms can be very painful and can significantly affect a person’s quality of life.

In some cases, physical therapy or surgery may also be necessary to help restore facial function. It’s important to seek medical attention if you suspect you may have Ramsay Hunt syndrome, as early treatment can help reduce the severity of symptoms and improve outcomes.

What is trending in March 2023 (Trick): How to factory reset a Samsung device that has a completely smashed screen. Might work for non Samsung devices.
We’re going to use the android talkback feature + an external keyboard to HEAR what your inputting.
My situation: I have my ex’s android note 10 lite with a completely smashed screen that she allowed me to keep before we broke up. Now I wanna sell it, I cant with her data on it (I don’t know what pictures of me are still on there).
The screen only shows black, and touch inputs don’t work. Every forum post says that it’s impossible to factory reset it, but I found a way so thought I’d post it here. It uses the android talkback function.
We assume that android developer options are turned off so you cant blindly hold buttons to get to the boot screen. You cant connect to PC because of whatever reason. We also assume that you know the pin number at very least.
First a quick solution that might work:
A few posts suggested using a usb c to hdmi converter and just plugging it into your tv so you can see the screen. I don’t have one of these, so I have no idea if that works. You’ll probably need a usb c splitter, then a usb c to usb a converter to plug in a keyboard so you can control the phone.
If it works for you, you can stop here. No need for talkback. You can now see your screen and control your phone.
If not: First find a YouTube video that teaches how to factory reset your device. This is simply so you can get an idea of what each screen looks like, while combining that visual data with the audio data your phone will give you.
1) From your lock screen you can hold down the two volume buttons for 3 seconds to turn on “talkback”. Android will dictate all of your actions from this point onwards. So you can hear where you are in your phone.
2) Plug in a USB C to USB A converter so you can use a keyboard. Plug in keyboard…
3) Then Press the lock button on the phone and type in your pin/password. When the phone unlocks, press Alt+A to enter the apps screen of android.
4) Press up the up arrow key to enter the search area.
Continue below
5) Press the left arrow key to enter the search box. Then press enter. She will tell you that your keyboard has popped up. Ignore it, its just an indicator that you’re on the right track.
6) Type factory and wait for a couple of seconds for the search results to populate.
7) Use the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard to find “Factory data reset”. Be sure to not choose the internet search result if your phone pops one up. Scroll up and down for a bit while referencing the YouTube video to get an idea of where you are.
8) Listen to what she’s saying as you go through the various options to get to the factory data reset. Cross reference with YouTube video to ensure you’re on the right track.
9) When you finally find the setting, it will ask you to input your pin. Type it in and press enter. Then after a bit more navigation it will ask you to input your Samsung password. Type this in and press enter. (For those that don’t know the password, like me, keep reading).
Continue below
10) There might be a few more options, so YMMV. I couldn’t get past this bit. Congrats. Your phone is factory reset.
11) If you screw up at any point (which you likely will because this is pretty fiddly) then just hammer the escape button a few times and start again.
If for some reason you cant get the factory data reset to work, if it asks for a Samsung password that you don’t remember, there’s an option called “Auto Factory Data reset”.
This sets up your phone so that if someone submits the pin code wrong 15 times, it will factory reset your phone. This is what I had to use because although my ex and I shared pin codes, I had no reason to ever know her Samsung password.
Find a YouTube video that shows how to turn on AUTO factory reset
Follow the steps above, until…
6) Type Auto Factory
7) Use the up and down arrow keys to find the auto factory reset option.
8) Confirm your pin code and press enter. This will allow you into this settings menu.
9) Use the down key until she says “Auto Factory Reset…[and a load of small print]”
10) Press enter. She will say “Auto Factory Reset On”
11) Lock your phone.
12) Get your pin number wrong 15 times.
13) When you get to about 10 attempts, she starts making you wait 30 seconds between each attempt. Eventually you will get there and your phone will nuke itself.
So there you go. I just had to do this, and thought I would share it with you folks.
The main takeaway from this post is to use the talkback feature! Im sure this feature is good for loads of other stuff too if you have the patience.

Why are the Oscars called the Oscars?
The origin of the name “Oscar” for the Academy Awards, also known as the Oscars, is not entirely clear, but there are several theories about its origin.
One popular theory is that Bette Davis named the award after her first husband, Harmon Oscar Nelson. However, this theory has been debunked, as the name “Oscar” was used in reference to the award before Davis won her first Oscar in 1935.
Another theory is that the Academy’s executive secretary, Margaret Herrick, named the award after her uncle Oscar Pierce, who apparently had a similar physique to the Oscar statuette. When Herrick saw the statuette for the first time, she reportedly exclaimed, “It looks just like my Uncle Oscar!”
Yet another theory suggests that the name “Oscar” simply came from the Academy’s librarian, Margaret Herrick, who saw the statuette and said that it resembled her uncle Oscar.
While the true origin of the name “Oscar” remains a bit of a mystery, it is clear that the name has become synonymous with the prestigious film industry award that recognizes excellence in filmmaking.
What channel are the oscars on?
The channel that broadcasts the Oscars ceremony may vary depending on your location and cable or satellite provider. Additionally, the Oscars may also be available for live streaming on the ABC website or through streaming services that offer ABC as part of their channel lineup.
What does Annual Midpoint refers to regarding Salaries for employees?
The annual midpoint in salary refers to the exact middle point of the salary range for a particular position or job, typically expressed as an annual salary. This midpoint represents the salary that an individual in the position with an average level of experience, skills, and qualifications can expect to receive.

What means restricted share units in salary?
Restricted Share Units (RSUs) are a form of compensation that some companies offer to their employees as part of their salary package. RSUs are essentially units of company stock that are awarded to employees as a form of compensation, with certain restrictions placed on them.
When an employee receives RSUs, they do not actually own the underlying stock until the restrictions placed on the units are lifted. The restrictions may be based on a specific time period, such as a vesting schedule, or they may be tied to certain performance metrics that the employee must meet.

How cold does it have to be to snow?
The temperature at which snow forms depends on several factors, including humidity and atmospheric pressure. However, as a general rule of thumb, snow can form when the air temperature is at or below freezing (0°C or 32°F).
In order for snow to form, moisture must first be present in the atmosphere in the form of water vapor. When the temperature drops, the water vapor condenses into ice crystals. If the temperature is below freezing all the way down to the ground, these ice crystals will remain frozen and fall as snow.
It’s worth noting that snow can still occur at temperatures slightly above freezing if the air is very dry or if the snowflakes encounter colder air as they fall. However, the likelihood of snow decreases as the temperature rises above freezing.
How to join Girl Scouts
To join Girl Scouts, you can follow these steps:
Visit the Girl Scouts website (www.girlscouts.org) and click on the “Join” button at the top of the page.
Select the “Find a Council” option to locate your local Girl Scout council. You can search for your council by entering your zip code or state.
Contact your local Girl Scout council to find a troop in your area. The council will be able to provide you with information about the nearest Girl Scout troops and how to join.
Complete the registration process. Once you have found a troop, you will need to register as a Girl Scout. You can do this online or by filling out a paper registration form. There is a registration fee, but financial assistance is available for families who need it.
Attend a troop meeting. After you have registered, you will be invited to attend a troop meeting. This is a chance for you to meet other Girl Scouts and learn more about the organization.
Get involved in Girl Scout activities. Girl Scouts participate in a wide range of activities, including camping, community service projects, and skill-building workshops. Talk to your troop leader to find out how you can get involved.
Joining Girl Scouts is a great way to make new friends, learn new skills, and have fun while making a positive impact in your community.
