Lupita Nyongo will be the new Black Panther. The opening of the trailer shows her in the Black Panther suit and she is missing from the rest of the trailer.

n the trailer the Queen/Bassett says her entire family is dead. It also shows Lupita giving birth to T’Challa’s child.

So, the Atlanteans attack. Shuri is killed in her attempt to take the BP mantle and defend Wakandan, or maybe captured and presumed dead. Then Nakia gives birth. Somehow a heart shaped herb is found and given to her, she is powered up and quickly recovers from giving birth (she may even take it while pregnant because she is seriously injured in the Atlantean attack.) Nakia becomes BP and queen regent. She fights Namor, and maybe also rescues Shuri.

Something like that.

Day Shift | Jamie Foxx, Dave Franco, and Snoop Dogg | Official Trailer | Netflix

Day Shift:

Bud Jablonski (Jamie Fox) is a pool cleaner who scores extra cash as an exterminator, ridding the San Fernando Valley of its enduring vampire problem. But he does this work freelance—not part of the slayers union—so it’s not as lucrative as it is for his friend Big John Elliott (Snoop Dogg,) who is using his clout to bring Bud back to guild wages and benefits.

DEATH OF A LADIES’ MAN (2022) – Official Trailer

Trying to wrap my head around why they called the movie Death of a Ladies Man but used Bird on a Wire instead.

The movie was “inspired by the songs of Leonard Cohen.” So, I assume they’re going to use more than one.

Ticket to Paradise | Official Trailer [HD]

What if in the end of Ocean’s Thirteen Danny and Tess got married, had a kid and divorced and now 20 years later try to sabotage their child’s engagement.

Looks like a rom com where there’s not a single unpredictable moment and yet will still be kind of fun.

SEE HOW THEY RUN | Official Trailer | Searchlight Pictures

It’s obvious from the popularity of “only murders in the building”, “knives out”, and the recent Christie movies that we’re entering a new era of campy mystery movies and I couldn’t be more excited for it.

NOPE – Official Alternate Trailer – July 22

s it just me or do all of the night scenes look like they’re filmed in the day and color shifted to look like it’s night?

I remember they did that in 28 weeks later and it looked really jarring and cheap.

Vikrant Rona | Official trailer (English) | releasing on July 28

Kannada film industry producing really great movies.., visuals are at Hollywood level.., KGF 2, 777 Charli, Vikrant Rona..

What TV show was amazing at first but became unwatchable for you later on?

Heroes

Season 1 was great and fresh. Season 2 didn’t know what to do with itself and just started giving everyone super powers.

By Season 3, characters were just changing motivations at the drop of a hat and it was just a huge mess of bad writing.

The blacklist, so many loopholes and a never ending plot. I mean, the female hero (forgot her name) was wanted and had her pictures broadcast nationwide live, but a couple of weeks after she can do undercover work.

Not the worst offender, but That 70’s Show tanked pretty hard once Eric left. He was sorely needed to make the chemistry of the group work.

Once Upon a Time. The first 3 seasons were good! And then after that they just kept getting worse

What are movies where the final line of dialogue is the title of the movie?

I was watching Chinatown last night (great movie, btw!) and got to the final scene already knowing what the last line is, cause it’s famous and all, but only then clicked that the last word spoken is the title of the movie. (I know you can hear some cops sorta talking in the background as the camera pans out but I don’t think anyone would say that is the final dialogue in the movie).

Anyway, got me thinking, what are some other movies like this? Last words are the title of the film.

1- “And then they realized they were no longer little girls…They were little women.” – As read by Moe

2- Perfection

3- “I am Iron Man

4- The Breakfast Club

5- “It’s Fantastic.”

6- “Say that again”

7- “It’s Fantastic”

8- “Guys, I think I’ve got it”

9- Fant4stic

10- I told my wife about my dinner with Andre

11- Queen’s Boulevard

12- “By the end of that summer of ’59, we truly were a Fellowship of the Ring.”

13- Mystery men ends with a reporter asking “who are these Mystery men?”

14- “Finally, an end to these Star Wars”

I’d argue he’s the second most powerful member of The Seven

(Note, I’m doing TV Show Black Noir)

Black Noir is my favorite character in The Boys only second to Stormfront (cause she’s hot). So I always wanted to publicly share where I scale Noir, but before I do this, I have to share a few stuff stuff.

  1. The Boys Presents Diabolical is mostly canon, specifically episodes 6,7 and 8.

That’s really all, now sit back and enjoy (or dislike) this answer.

  • Section 1: AP

Black Noir’s AP feat-wise isn’t too impressive since his speed is the real deal, but he’s still no joke since he’s able to fight and defeat Kimiko in a battle.

(I consider this fight to be an outlier since Black Noir should be faster than her, but it doesn’t change the fight since Black Noir is stronger)

And keep in mind this is the same Kimiko that survived attacks from A-Train

And even reacted to A Train while he was going fast

Kimiko speed feat
Imgur: The magic of the Internet

This says a lot since she was badly damaged while fighting Noir (Had to use her self healing to survive), and she didn’t even get harmed that much while fighting A-Train since she got back up a few seconds later.

And he has shown himself to be much stronger than Starlight in multiple instances

https://giant.gfycat.com/ImpossibleExhaustedHarvestmouse.mp4

This is the same Starlight that survived an attack from Stormfront (Same with Kimiko)

And Starlight tanked a Serbu BFG 50A with no injury

Starlight durability #1
Imgur: The magic of the Internet

So already Noir scales above Kimiko and Starlight and scales above A Train due to a better performance aganist Kimiko, you could also argue his AP being at least on par with Maeve due to the tree nut scene and her deciding to use tree nuts instead of fighting him.

But it’s an iffy argument, doesn’t really matter though cause I think Noir beats her regardless.

  • Section 2: Speed

My favorite section yet.

Noir is stated to be much faster than a car

Not too impressive but this is just the start.

Black Noir was consistently able to dodge Homelander’s beams

And dodged Homelander himself

Blacknoirvshomelander GIF – Find & Share on GIPHY
Discover & share this Blacknoirvshomelander GIF with everyone you know. GIPHY is how you search, share, discover, and create GIFs.

I made an answer as to why Homelander is Hypersonic+ at least and his lasers are faster, check it out

Homelander is narratively potrayed to be the most powerful being in The Boys and should be the fastest

Not only that but Black Noir is consistently able to counter Homelander’s beams with his knives and is fast enough to throw them

https://i.giphy.com/media/mopdzvwJYP1FbseXKL/giphy.mp4 https://i.giphy.com/media/JrxshenT8yh7W7kpxi/giphy.mp4

No one in The Boys has shown a good speed feat like Black Noir just for this (excluding Homelander) not even A Train has shown anything like this.

  • Section 3: Durability

Doesn’t show too much but he’s able to tank a bomb from Naqib

With minor injuries to him

And tanked explosions previously as well

https://giant.gfycat.com/AdorableAbandonedInchworm.mp4 https://giant.gfycat.com/ElementarySpeedyDodo.mp4

  • Section 4: Others

Not too much but he’s great at Martial Arts, Stealth, Weapons, etc. He’s basically Batman

I hope you enjoyed the answer, wanna thank some people who remain annoymous for proving the scans to some of these

  • Sicario (2015) is one of my top films. The border scene is acclaimed and one of my favorites as well. But it makes no sense.
    by /u/MikeMania on August 18, 2022 at 9:23 pm

When anyone mentions this movie, the border scene at Juarez always comes up. And rightly so. The first time I watched it, it was extremely thrilling to say the least. However, upon giving the whole scenario, the actions of the characters, and the things they say some more thought over the years... I came to the conclusion that not a whole lot really made sense. "If they try anything, its going to be at the border". Alejandro says this before the sequence. Really? You're going deep into this city that you've hyped up as a hive of scum and villainy. How many prime locations from the pickup point till the border could the cartel have setup a juicy ambush? The border road besides the cars themselves has virtually no visual obstructions. They also limited themselves with the amount of manpower they could send. Only 2 cars of baddies. And whoever they sent is now sandwiched between the security forces of 2 major countries. Also these dudes must have been extremely good at time management because they managed to get stuck in traffic at exactly the right spot. The Federales being corrupt really doesn't factor anything into this as far as I can tell. The US entrance side already had traffic before they even went into Juarez. There is a scene shot from a drone showing the convoy make their way passed the border. Clear as day, you can see the exit side is already full of deadlock traffic. Wow, great logistics gentlemen. One guy on comms even had the audacity to say "its a fuckup" right when they get stuck in traffic. Damn, could you not make that determination as you approached this huge traffic jam from a distance? From a story standpoint, they could have just edited out the traffic then we could assume the roads became unexpectedly congested or something. A flash jam if you will. Traffic doesn't matter. Why did they not just go through the entrance roads? They were wide open. Why didn't the federales just move some cones and they can just get across the to the US first? If watching movies has taught me anything its that police/feds love driving on the wrong side or hopping a curb. Why so follow traffic law? The biggest thing here is this op has the support of Mexico, clearly. If it was some black op against the wishes of Mexican government, ok, driving through a security gate is not ideal. But that isn't the case. And if they are that afraid of driving on the wrong side of the road, the federales could have also just cordoned off a single lane in anticipation of this op. But it was shot and directed beautifully submitted by /u/MikeMania [link] [comments]

  • Which was the most uncomfortable scene an actor ever had to shoot?
    by /u/potatoheadf on August 18, 2022 at 5:15 pm

Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio in The Abyss. The scene is legendary because it caused her to storm off set and threaten not to finish the film if James Cameron forced her to do any more takes. Spoilers In the scene, Mastrantonio's character, Lindsey, has just drowned and been hauled back to the oil rig, and her husband Bud (Ed Harris), along with their crew mates, are trying to revive her. Mastrantonio was soaking wet and freezing cold, lying on a metal grate. Her shirt was torn and her breasts exposed, and Harris had to shake her, scream at her, and repeatedly slap her across the face (to which she, of course, could not react, and had to play dead). Two or three takes would have been uncomfortable. But Cameron, ever the perfectionist, insisted on doing it over, and over, and over again, by some accounts for as long as eight hours. Just when he thought he finally had the take he wanted, it was discovered that the camera had run out of film, and he wanted her to film it yet again. That's when Mastrantonio snapped, and broke down completely. She screamed at Cameron, “we are not animals!”, then stormed off the set, saying she would quit the film if he didn't wrap the scene. Mastrantonio refused to promote the film or even discuss it. She did not take part in any interviews or making-of documentaries, and also vowed that she would never work with Cameron again. https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcSvohkcQ67hx3JdRdXYxFy-UpbxIr0Yjqu3Fg&usqp=CAU submitted by /u/potatoheadf [link] [comments]

  • Why do actors swerve the steering wheel so much in movies?
    by /u/BeijingVO2 on August 18, 2022 at 12:46 pm

I swear I've never seen a driving scene that isn't a car chase or a stunt etc, where the actor just holds the car steady. They are constantly swerving left and right when they're driving, even though they're on a straight road, and we can SEE it's a straight road from the rear view. We should be seeing a lot more fish tailing and even car flips just from people constantly turning left and right every second going 40-60mph down a regular road, it's insane. Like, we get it... you're driving, but it's super distracting to see an actor just swerving down a straight road when the car is either on a trailer or in a blue screen lot with a straight road behind it. submitted by /u/BeijingVO2 [link] [comments]

  • Recommend me a truly bizarre sci-fi. I want off the wall insanity.
    by /u/alfiealfiealfie on August 18, 2022 at 10:56 am

Hi I'm in the mood for something weird. Level of sci-fi weird I would appreciate, but not limited to: Tetsuo (first one), Naked Lunch, Starcrash (not seen yet, but want to), Mac and Me, Dune (lynch version), Under The Skin (wtaf). I want something coherent mind you. Not something so off the wall its nonsense. I don't like violence, although if it's so gloriously OTT its fine (District 9, yes YOU), Battle Royale. Do your worst Reddit, do your very worst and I'll do my best to write a review of one of them I found particularly mental. Edit: RIP inbox. But srsly- lot's of great choices here and I'm spoiled for choice. I am truly thankful for all your crazy advice. I'll be making a shortlist. Edit 2: if comes across that I'm only commenting to brag about what I've seen, sorry if comes across that way, but it's more of a "yay! this one is cool!" kinda comment. I'll make sure I'm more interactive in the comments xxx Edit 3: I'm trying to reply to as many as I can but I'm at work and it's hard keeping up! Edit 4: here's an ongoing shortlist of movies I've not seen - Everything, Everywhere, All at once; The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai across the 8th Dimension; Primer; Mad God; Psycho Goreman; Predestination Edit 5: need a break now to pick up child from nursery. Anyone that can recommend a 3yr old suitable sci fi I'll give gold. Edit 6: back from nursery run to pick up baby Gabriel. She ra noted. I have so many messages to go through. I read everything, it would be disrespectful not to. Commenting where I can! Edit 7: can't reply to your comments - mods have perma banned me. No idea why and seems cruel and arbitrary. DM me instead and I'll endevour to keep this great discussion going. Edit 8: I can still edit here. Heh. In the 2002 film Minority Report, what was the long term plan for the pre-crime department once the triplets died which they of course would at some point. You might also know me from Sons of Anarchy, Marvel’s Luke Cage, Lowriders, Army of the Dead, True Story and my new movie with Aubrey Plaza, Emily the Criminal. I also host a podcast called “Theory” that’s about nothing and everything and my best buddy Kim Coates and I watch and talk all things Sons of Anarchy on our show, “Reaper Reviews”. • Who are some bad actors with a good performance?
    by /u/Imapony on August 17, 2022 at 5:05 pm

For example, Gal Gadot in Wonder Woman. Objectively she's a bad actor but I really liked her in the first movie. Gal's real world naivete and feeling "out of place" among the rest of the cast fit the character who's also naive and out of place in the film. Shout out to Cara Delevigne for the same reason in Carnival Row. I won't roast The Rock because he was good in The Rundown and Pain and Gain, and at this point it's clear he's not trying to be a "good" actor like Bautista or Cena, or win awards, and is just having fun while collecting bank. I can respect that. submitted by /u/Imapony [link] [comments]
