How to make your laptop last longer with AI

The Benefits of AI for Laptops

One of the benefits of AI is that it can help to improve the efficiency of your laptop. For example, if you frequently use certain programs or visit certain websites, AI can learn your habits and pre-load these programs or websites so that they’re ready for you when you need them. This can help to save time and improve your productivity. Additionally, AI can also help to optimize your battery life by learning your usage patterns and making adjustments accordingly.

Another benefit of AI is that it can help to protect your laptop from malware and other security threats. This is because AI is constantly learning and evolving, which means that it can quickly identify new security threats as they arise and take steps to protect your laptop from them. Additionally, AI can also help to keep your personal data safe by encrypting it and storing it in a secure location.

The Drawbacks of AI for Laptops

While there are several benefits to using AI on your laptop, there are also some drawbacks that you should be aware of. One of the main drawbacks is that AI requires a lot of processing power, which can drain your battery life quickly. Additionally, if you’re not careful, you may accidentally give away too much personal information to an AI program without realizing it. Finally, there is always the possibility that an AI program could malfunction or become corrupted, which could lead to serious problems for your laptop.

What was the most common repairs you needed on your laptop?

It will always be the battery. If you’re buying a laptop, make sure it has a replaceable battery OR an easily accessible one that you can remove yourself.

I have so many laptops with zero issues, including batteries. Never leave a laptop plugged in.

Of all the ones I see here are the common issues:

  1. Power connectors: charging ports get pushed and pulled by people tripping over the cord or smashing the connector into their knees, the wall, or the floor.
  2. Hinges for the screen. Grabbing the screen by the corner, over extending, or rough treatment break screens or the small connectors internally that go to them
  3. Keyboards. The keys can wear and fade, or junk gets inside them and makes the keys inoperable.

If you are looking for an all-in-one solution to help you prepare for the AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification Exam, look no further than this AWS Cloud Practitioner CCP CLF-C02 book

When our laptops start to slow down or show signs of wear, it can be frustrating. The good news is that there are things you can do to prolong the life of your laptop and make it last longer. Below are some tips on how to make your laptop last longer.

  1. Keep your laptop clean
One of the best ways to prolong the life of your laptop is to keep it clean. Just like any other piece of technology, laptops can accumulate dust and dirt over time. This can cause the fans to work harder and eventually overheat the system. To prevent this from happening, make sure to clean your laptop regularly. You can use a damp cloth or compressed air to remove dust from the keyboard and vents.
  2. Use a cooling pad
Another way to help keep your laptop cool is to use a cooling pad. Cooling pads help dissipate heat away from the laptop, which can prolong its lifespan. Many cooling pads also come with built-in fans, which can further help keep your laptop cool.
  3. Avoid overheating
Overheating is one of the leading causes of laptops shutting down prematurely. To avoid overheating, make sure that you’re not blocking any of the vents on your laptop and that you’re not using it on a soft surface like a bed or couch where it can’t breathe. Additionally, if you’re going to be using your laptop for an extended period of time, consider investing in a stand that will elevate it slightly so that air can circulate more easily.
  4. Update your software regularly
One thing that many people don’t realize is that keeping your software up-to-date can actually help prolong the life of your laptop. That’s because updates often include patches for security vulnerabilities and other bugs that could potentially cause problems down the line. So, if you want to keep your laptop running smoothly, make sure you’re staying up-to-date on all the latest software updates.
  5. Don’t overload your laptop
Another common mistake people make is loading their laptops down with too many programs and files. This can actually put strain on the system and cause it to run slower or even crash. So, if you want to keep your laptop running at its best, only install the programs and files you need and regularly delete anything you don’t use anymore.

While there’s no guaranteed way to make your laptop last forever, following these tips can help prolong its lifespan so you can get the most out of it. Taking care of your laptop is important not only for financial reasons but also for productivity reasons. After all, a well-running laptop can mean the difference between getting work done and falling behind. So if you want to keep your laptop running smoothly for as long as possible, make sure you’re following these tips!

Below are the best laptops in 2022-2023:

How artificial intelligence is changing the laptop landscape

In recent years, we’ve seen a surge in the development of artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications. From smart speakers to self-driving cars, it seems like there’s no limit to what AI can do. But what about laptops? How is AI changing the way we use these essential devices? Let’s take a look.

One of the most significant ways AI is changing laptops is in terms of performance. With traditional laptops, the processor is the biggest determining factor in how well the device will perform. However, with AI-powered laptops, that’s no longer the case. Thanks to their ability to handle complex tasks quickly and efficiently, AI-powered laptops are able to outperform their traditional counterparts when it comes to things like video editing and rendering, 3D modeling, and even gaming.

Another area where AI is having a major impact on laptops is battery life. One of the biggest complaints about laptops has always been that they need to be plugged in constantly in order to function properly. However, with AI-powered laptops, that’s no longer an issue. Thanks to their efficient use of power, AI-powered laptops can last for hours on end without needing to be plugged in. This means you can finally say goodbye to those pesky low battery warnings!

Finally, AI is also changing the way we interact with our laptops. Thanks to voice recognition software and other advancements, it’s now possible to control your laptop entirely hands-free. This means you can finally get some work done while you’re on the go without having to worry about lugging around a heavy laptop or dealing with tangled wires. All you need is your voice!

As you can see, AI is having a major impact on laptops and how we use them. From improved performance to longer battery life, there’s no doubt that AI-powered laptops are the way of the future. So if you’re in the market for a new laptop, be sure to keep an eye out for one with AI capabilities! You won’t be disappointed.

  • 14’ M1 PRO MBP 2021 Vs 15’ M2 MBA 2023
by /u/HellishHeaven22 (Apple Macbook) on April 18, 2024 at 1:16 am

Hi! I would like advice on which one of these to get. Im an incoming business uni student and does some light photo editing and photography work. I’ll use my macbook to watch netflix and videos as well and i am amazed by the display of the MBP, the 120hz refresh rate is also really smooth! However, the 15’ display of mba is noticeably huge which is also great for watching videos (and screen real estate for work). I also like that there are more ports on mbp compared to the mba My main concern tho is future proofing. The MBP is 2021 which is abt 3 yrs old so im not sure how modern/up to date it will be in 2030 (i plan to use the macbook for 7-8 years). 2023 MBA will receive 2 more years of updates. In my country both prices are the same. Specs are 16/512 M1 PRO Chip for MBP, 16/1TB M2 chip for mba. Please advise, thank you!! submitted by /u/HellishHeaven22 [link] [comments]

Hi guys. So i got accepted into a Phd in Clinical and Health Psychology, and at the same time i was thinking on upgrading my laptop (Surface Laptop 3, intel i5, 8gb). I was wondering if the MacBook Air M3 16gb was a good choice for someone who is planning to do some research, have a decent battery life, have some other apps opened (stuff like Discord, Sportify, maybe 10/15 tabs open on safari). If i happen to buy the laptop, it will be my first Mac. I'd love to hear your opinions or advices. Thank you! submitted by /u/Gui_Mad [link] [comments]

  • The perfect spec?
by /u/Tratix (Apple Macbook) on April 17, 2024 at 11:16 pm

Is the normal 14 inch M3 macbook pro, specced up to 16GB ram the perfect spec? It has the display, speaker, and port advantage of the Pro which the Airs don’t have. It has the best battery life in any macbook ever according to Apple. The Airs seem to have the advantage over the M3 pro/max Pros, but the regular M3 Pro is ahead of them all. Why is the regular M3 Pro specced up to 16gb not more popular? submitted by /u/Tratix [link] [comments]

  • Should I get a new MacBook Air or keep it and get an Pad Pro for university?
by /u/Karan818 (Apple Macbook) on April 17, 2024 at 10:32 pm

I am attending university for the first time this fall and I will be studying Business Administration. I currently have a 2020 Intel I3 MacBook Air with 256SSD (I can delete some apps to make room for more storage). I first was going for a Surface Pro but after learning about its terrible cooling and battery life, I aimed for an iPad Pro. I learned that simply using only an iPad wouldn't be useful because of its OS capabilities. I thought I'd just stick to getting a new MacBook instead. But after seeing how much lighter they can make the backpacks, and how much they can help learning, I thought of something new. If I keep my current MacBook Air and don't upgrade but instead get an iPad Pro, alongside using my current MacBook, would that suffice? My current MacBook Air doesn't have the power I want it to have, especially the sub-par speed/lag/cooling/battery after a 5-6 tabs. Would I still get through 4 years fine with only some issues? submitted by /u/Karan818 [link] [comments]

  • Assistance Needed: M1 MacBook Air (A2337) Storage Upgrade Error During DFU Restore
by /u/Bubbly_Sail_4812 (Apple Macbook) on April 17, 2024 at 9:39 pm

encountered while attempting a storage upgrade on my M1 MacBook Air (A2337). In an effort to expand storage capacity, I attempted to replace the original SSD with aftermarket NAND chips. Following the relevant disassembly and soldering procedures, I successfully entered DFU mode on the MacBook Air. However, during the software installation process, an error message occurred, abruptly interrupting the installation. Unfortunately, the MacBook Air is now stuck in a boot loop, displaying the following message: "System cannot be restored on this device. The operation couldn't be completed. (AMRestoreErrorDomain error -1 - Failed to handle message type StatusMsg (Generic error)) [AMRestoreErrorDomain – 0xFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF (-1) [sys = 0x3F, sub = 0xFFF, code = 0x3FFF (16383)]]" It is important to note that I did not utilize the original USB-C cable during the restoration process. Any idea how I can solve this ? And break the loop and the problem also looked on apple community support. • MacBook Air M3 - Poor battery life
by /u/Coney007 (Apple Macbook) on April 17, 2024 at 7:33 pm

I just switched out my base model MacBook Pro mid-2017 with a brand new MacBook Air M3 (16, 512) and was really looking forward to seeing a massive change in battery life and performance. So far, performance is absolutely amazing and I have had no problems at all with throttling or overheating. But the battery... WHAT THE F***?! Apple advertises 15 hours of wireless web browsing and I was maybe expecting at least 10-12 hours of browsing and simple Office365 usage (mostly Word) - but I'm getting nowhere near that. Right now I'm getting a maximum 8 hours which is basically the same as with my 2017 MacBook Pro that had its battery replaced about a year ago. Yesterday I decided to remove all widgets, as well as the live wallpaper to see if that made a difference, and yet this is the battery stats from the past 2 hours on battery. It says that I only have 5 hours left on battery! I've even started lowering the brightness to 80% and nothing makes a difference. Has anyone else had the same experience? Do any of you have any suggestions to what I can do to improve battery life besides the usual, low power mode, lower screen brightness, "your MacBook is indexing" etc.? https://preview.redd.it/ff1qshmod3vc1.png?width=1190&format=png&auto=webp&s=7909a35b859ef63a06868f260293d9a5ef41b6a9 submitted by /u/Coney007 [link] [comments]

  • Reset/clear space from MacBook?
by /u/bingbong12234 (Apple Macbook) on April 17, 2024 at 5:16 pm

I have a MacBook Air from 2012 that’s going strong but currently making me want to rip my hair out and/or commit technological homicide. I need to do a few things for school. Download Microsoft office, adobe, be able to download my readings. However there is ZERO space left on my computer. My storage settings tell me most of my GB is tied up in “other”. I don’t know what the f that means. I’ve deleted everything I can think of to delete and it won’t free any space. I need to sort this like now or I’m gonna lose it!! I thought it would be best to reset my computer and start from scratch but even that is fucking complicated?? How do I erase/clear/factory reset my MacBook? Should I just take it to the Genius Bar and have them do it? submitted by /u/bingbong12234 [link] [comments]

  • Need Advice on removing sticker residue on MacBook without damaging paint (or not...)

I have a 2021 MacBook Pro, and I'm trying everything to remove the traces of stickers left by the previous owner. There are no traces of glue or anything noticeable to the touch. • Futureproof? MBPro 14" M3 Pro 12 Core CPU 18 Core GPU 1TB 18GB
by /u/AardwolfSolutions (Apple Macbook) on April 17, 2024 at 4:12 pm

Hi folks, I am a first time MacBook and iPhone user (after 20+ years of using Windows, Android), have been fed up with laptops, phones, and notebooks getting sluggish after just a year of use. Use case: nothing advanced, but I like I like to simultaneously have tons of browser windows open, email, PDFs, excel sheets, with YouTube or Rumble in the background, and will sometimes run Photoshop on top. This has been enough to slow down my Asus notebook which I bought a year ago. Asus Zenbook S 13 UX5304VA Processor 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1355U 1.70 GHz Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.6 GB usable) Also had the Galaxy S22 Ultra for about 18 months and started lagging, especially switching between screens. I became convinced that MacBooks run better and will serve you longer from feedback from friends and family. I bought an iPhone 15 512GB and a MacBook Pro with Apple care, specs below. Assuming I don't get into advanced video editing, can I feasibly enjoy lag-free performance for the next 4-5 years (from both the phone and the computer) doing the activities described above? I realize we can't predict the future but would appreciate an educated guess. I am still within the Best Buy return widow for the MacBook and would like to know if it's worth it to pay a few extra hundred to increase the processor power so I don't have to replace it for the foreseeable future. I know Apple drops support for certain models after a certain amount of time. My concern is the benchmark came back with 3.5 stars for CPU (the memory score was good). Benchmarks: https://www.passmark.com/baselines/V11/display.php?id=506178941981 I have the following: Model Name: MacBook Pro 14" Model Identifier: Mac15,6 Model Number: MRX43LL/A Chip: Apple M3 Pro Total Number of Cores: 12 (6 performance and 6 efficiency) Memory: 18 GB - Not sure of the memory speed GPU: 18 core - no frame of reference, don't even know if this is good or back since I'm used to Nvidia gaming cards Storage: 1TB SSD Appreciate any opinions on this - let me know if you need any additional info Thanks submitted by /u/AardwolfSolutions [link] [comments]
