No. Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever is a Sony movie, not a Warner Bros. movie. Also, HBO Max will no longer be streaming theatrical movies in 2022. (Last year, Warner Bros. opted to simultaneously release its theatrical slate on streaming, meaning HBO Max subscribers could watch movies like Matrix Resurrections at home. This year, however, Warner Bros. theatrical movies will have a 45-day theaters-only run before moving to HBO Max.)
Lupita Nyongo will be the new Black Panther. The opening of the trailer shows her in the Black Panther suit and she is missing from the rest of the trailer.
n the trailer the Queen/Bassett says her entire family is dead. It also shows Lupita giving birth to T’Challa’s child.
So, the Atlanteans attack. Shuri is killed in her attempt to take the BP mantle and defend Wakandan, or maybe captured and presumed dead. Then Nakia gives birth. Somehow a heart shaped herb is found and given to her, she is powered up and quickly recovers from giving birth (she may even take it while pregnant because she is seriously injured in the Atlantean attack.) Nakia becomes BP and queen regent. She fights Namor, and maybe also rescues Shuri.
Something like that.

Bud Jablonski (Jamie Fox) is a pool cleaner who scores extra cash as an exterminator, ridding the San Fernando Valley of its enduring vampire problem. But he does this work freelance—not part of the slayers union—so it’s not as lucrative as it is for his friend Big John Elliott (Snoop Dogg,) who is using his clout to bring Bud back to guild wages and benefits.
Trying to wrap my head around why they called the movie Death of a Ladies Man but used Bird on a Wire instead.
The movie was “inspired by the songs of Leonard Cohen.” So, I assume they’re going to use more than one.

What TV show was amazing at first but became unwatchable for you later on?
Heroes
Season 1 was great and fresh. Season 2 didn’t know what to do with itself and just started giving everyone super powers.
By Season 3, characters were just changing motivations at the drop of a hat and it was just a huge mess of bad writing.
The blacklist, so many loopholes and a never ending plot. I mean, the female hero (forgot her name) was wanted and had her pictures broadcast nationwide live, but a couple of weeks after she can do undercover work.
Not the worst offender, but That 70’s Show tanked pretty hard once Eric left. He was sorely needed to make the chemistry of the group work.
Once Upon a Time. The first 3 seasons were good! And then after that they just kept getting worse

What are movies where the final line of dialogue is the title of the movie?
I was watching Chinatown last night (great movie, btw!) and got to the final scene already knowing what the last line is, cause it’s famous and all, but only then clicked that the last word spoken is the title of the movie. (I know you can hear some cops sorta talking in the background as the camera pans out but I don’t think anyone would say that is the final dialogue in the movie).
Anyway, got me thinking, what are some other movies like this? Last words are the title of the film.

I’d argue he’s the second most powerful member of The Seven
(Note, I’m doing TV Show Black Noir)
Black Noir is my favorite character in The Boys only second to Stormfront (cause she’s hot). So I always wanted to publicly share where I scale Noir, but before I do this, I have to share a few stuff stuff.
The Boys Presents Diabolical is mostly canon, specifically episodes 6,7 and 8.
That’s really all, now sit back and enjoy (or dislike) this answer.
Section 1: AP
Black Noir’s AP feat-wise isn’t too impressive since his speed is the real deal, but he’s still no joke since he’s able to fight and defeat Kimiko in a battle.
(I consider this fight to be an outlier since Black Noir should be faster than her, but it doesn’t change the fight since Black Noir is stronger)
And keep in mind this is the same Kimiko that survived attacks from A-Train
And even reacted to A Train while he was going fast
Kimiko speed feat
Imgur: The magic of the Internet
https://imgur.com/a/C5EF0Y1
This says a lot since she was badly damaged while fighting Noir (Had to use her self healing to survive), and she didn’t even get harmed that much while fighting A-Train since she got back up a few seconds later.
And he has shown himself to be much stronger than Starlight in multiple instances
This is the same Starlight that survived an attack from Stormfront (Same with Kimiko)
And Starlight tanked a Serbu BFG 50A with no injury
Starlight durability #1
Imgur: The magic of the Internet
https://imgur.com/a/crwJMq7
So already Noir scales above Kimiko and Starlight and scales above A Train due to a better performance aganist Kimiko, you could also argue his AP being at least on par with Maeve due to the tree nut scene and her deciding to use tree nuts instead of fighting him.
But it’s an iffy argument, doesn’t really matter though cause I think Noir beats her regardless.
Section 2: Speed
My favorite section yet.
Noir is stated to be much faster than a car
Not too impressive but this is just the start.
Black Noir was consistently able to dodge Homelander’s beams
And dodged Homelander himself

Day 11! Day 10: Pennsylvania went to Groundhog Day! I have to be honest, that shocked me! I thought Rocky was a shoe-in! Rocky did place second. Also shout out to Deer Hunter, Philadelphia, and 12 Monkeys! Pennsylvania really showed up! There’s some great movies there, I wanna give a personal shout to Foxcatcher, I enjoyed that a lot. Some great sports flicks outta Pa. Day 11 is Wisconsin, I’m not sure where this will go but I can wait to see! Movie comment with the most upvotes wins. It’s favorite movie set in the state. I’m going in a random order! Day 11: Wisconsin Day 10: Pennsylvania - Groundhog Day Day 9: Iowa - Field of Dreams Day 8: Montana - A River Runs Through It. Day 7: Maine - Shawshank Redemption Day 6: Mississippi - O Brother, Where Art Thou Day 5: Rhode Island - Me, Myself, and Irene Day 4: Indiana - Hoosiers Day 3: Colorado - The Shining Day 2: Louisiana - Interview with the Vampire Day 1: Hawaii - Forgetting Sarah Marshall submitted by /u/CWKitch [link] [comments]
Let's say I never saw a single movie made before 2000. What would you recommend? Also, what is one you think is at least 25 years old that doesn't get enough credit as a great film? I am open to any type of film. I'm laid up for a while and wouldn't mind passing the time with older movies. Thank you in advance and looking forward to trying your recommendations. submitted by /u/hammersju [link] [comments]
You have to understand. I only saw the first Ghostbusters off a VHS tape my parents recorded the movie on but the TV version. So Ghostbusters 2 I saw in the theater. And I bought the soundtrack right after seeing it at some music store that doesn’t exist anymore. I’d listen to the cassette all the time. And I came to learn all the dialogue to the second one as I had the first (after I finally saw the unedited version). I’m the kind of Ghostbusters fan that had all the action figures, watched the cartoon religiously, was a Ghostbuster for Halloween, the proton pack, the trap, the PKE meter, the works. I know Bill Murray hates it. I know a lot of people hate it. Dismiss it. I know it’s a retread of the first one and it lacks so much. But to me, it’s right up there with the first from the score to the effects, memorable moments like the ghost train running through Winston or the Titanic showing up. Great scenes like when they’re brought to court and the Scallari Brothers attack. Plus Janosz! Great addition to the cast. Effective villain (awesome backstory). Seeing everyone in the beginning not Ghostbusting anymore is the best. I think this film was viewed through eyes too cynical. Now the sequels that followed… questionable at best. I of the belief the videoing was the official last entry in the trilogy. But I digress. submitted by /u/tangledapart [link] [comments]
I was thinking about the success of Top Gun Maverick and how it was so cool to see Tom Cruise back in that role after so many years. My choice would be if they would bring back Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock for a new Speed movie. That would make so much money and would be a blast to see. What would you like to see? submitted by /u/afellowchucker [link] [comments]
Both of these movies are comedic gold from Judd Apatow. Such hilarious moments, so many lines you can quote, awesome casting. I think both of these movies made the careers of people like Seth Rogen, Paul Rudd, and Jonah Hill. 40 Year Old Virgin really escalated Steve Carrel's career as well. If you had to choose, which would you pick? On one hand, you have Steve Carrel bring given all kinds of bad advice. On the other hand? You have crude teenage boys trying to score booze. Which would be your choice? It's close, but I think I'd go Superbad. submitted by /u/smcg_az [link] [comments]
I know there are more examples of this but the only one I can think of is Harry Potter. I know there are examples of protagonists that "go back to finish the fight" and things like that. Often I think it's associated with death/coming back to life. Does anyone know the first example of this in film? Or just other examples generally? Did it originally come for literature? submitted by /u/rachelsnips [link] [comments]
I was recently re-watching 1982's First Blood and I think it holds up really well. I would consider it a classic. It should be noted that First Blood is a completely different animal than the subsequent sequels...which were just popcorn action pics designed to cash in on a popularity of the character. The first movie was actually based on a book by David Morrell that's quite good. For anyone looking for a better appreciation of First Blood, I would recommend two things: Read the book upon which it is based. Buy the DVD and listen to Stallone's commentary track. It's honestly one of the best commentary tracks I've ever heard. Not only is it extremely insightful but he also does a job filling in a lot of a stuff from the book that is not made super clear in the movie. Makes the whole movie better. Let me know what you think. submitted by /u/familytruckster23 [link] [comments]
Now it’s available in the uk I’d be interested to hear what the British people think of the film? I enjoyed it myself it was a good film with a good cast and lots of British humour. I know the Americans didn’t overly enjoy it but I didn’t expect it to being a ww2 film that doesn’t involve any Americans and is very much a British centric ww2 film. I’m mostly just after hearing what we in the uk thought of it. Just to get ahead of any criticism I’m not bashing the Americans for not being blown out the water with a British story. With a lot of block busters i think it is natural to have some element of a love interest. Husband and wife, chasing someone you might have lost. Gives more to the characters. But what are some romance that either isn’t good at all, or is just a reason for the main actor to get a kiss scene with another attractive person? The most prominent example in my mind is the last samurai. imo there was absolutely no build up to the final kiss to end the movie. There is no reason for a romance at the end, nor is it satisfying. submitted by /u/Marcothetacooo [link] [comments]
So what scene could be sold as a short film with absolutely no context needed? I was watching Inglorious Basterds the other day and the entire opening scene with Hans Landa interrogating the farmer about the missing Jewish family, leading up to the terrifying moment you realise what's about to happen when the soldiers come in, stands out for me as a film in of itself, and if it ended right there with the girl running away and eventually escaping, I think it would hold up really well as a short movie. submitted by /u/Yoguls [link] [comments]
Hey r/movies, Dylan Sprouse, Patrick Warburton, María Garbiela de Faría, and Callan McAuliffe here! https://preview.redd.it/3y3ypqjj9hed1.png?width=1908&format=png&auto=webp&s=16b52c5cb2039be2ac40cdb8cece252e057ec7f6 We are some of the cast of The Duel. Logline: When Woody finds out his best friend has been sleeping with his girlfriend, he challenges him to an old school duel, taking their friend group across the border to a mysterious and stunning estate. Description of The Duel: It’s a dive bar of a movie. Something we all made together because we thought the world was ending four years ago… Weirdly the world never seems to stop ending, but our movie is finally coming out. On July 31st our indie is getting a one shot chance at a bunch of theaters, and it’d mean a lot to us if you would check it out. If you can’t or just don’t want too…. Then ask questions about other things and torment us until Lionsgate says we can go home. Note from our directors: What is our movie and why does it exist? Well firstly it’s a simple tale of how to handle great drama in a modern context. In a world where people consume the most media ever in our history, it has also never been more clear that many of us feel like we are NPCs, that adventures, great romances, and fights are reserved for the made up characters in our films, books, and comics. That in our own lives when faced with earth shattering events we are allowed to do very little, and that in many cases we are left impotent. Well our movie is about what happens when a group of normal, impotent Californian young fellas take a spiritual Viagra pill and harden the fuck up. It’s about how right or wrong the boys actually do something or at least try to. It’s about life being worth something and how hard it can be to demonstrate that. At least we think so. It could also just be a stoner comedy from a duo of dipshits raised on low brow comedies and Lord of the Rings. It’s really hard to judge ones own work. Anyway we hope you like it. - Justin and Luke. Bios: Dylan Sprouse - Dylan is an American actor.
