This year, however, Warner Bros. theatrical movies will have a 45-day theaters-only run before moving to HBO Max.)
Lupita Nyongo will be the new Black Panther. The opening of the trailer shows her in the Black Panther suit and she is missing from the rest of the trailer.
n the trailer the Queen/Bassett says her entire family is dead. It also shows Lupita giving birth to T’Challa’s child.
So, the Atlanteans attack. Shuri is killed in her attempt to take the BP mantle and defend Wakandan, or maybe captured and presumed dead. Then Nakia gives birth. Somehow a heart shaped herb is found and given to her, she is powered up and quickly recovers from giving birth (she may even take it while pregnant because she is seriously injured in the Atlantean attack.) Nakia becomes BP and queen regent. She fights Namor, and maybe also rescues Shuri.
Something like that.

DEATH OF A LADIES’ MAN (2022) – Official Trailer
Trying to wrap my head around why they called the movie Death of a Ladies Man but used Bird on a Wire instead.
The movie was “inspired by the songs of Leonard Cohen.” So, I assume they’re going to use more than one.

What TV show was amazing at first but became unwatchable for you later on?
Heroes
Season 1 was great and fresh. Season 2 didn’t know what to do with itself and just started giving everyone super powers.
By Season 3, characters were just changing motivations at the drop of a hat and it was just a huge mess of bad writing.
The blacklist, so many loopholes and a never ending plot. I mean, the female hero (forgot her name) was wanted and had her pictures broadcast nationwide live, but a couple of weeks after she can do undercover work.
Not the worst offender, but That 70’s Show tanked pretty hard once Eric left. He was sorely needed to make the chemistry of the group work.
Once Upon a Time. The first 3 seasons were good! And then after that they just kept getting worse

What are movies where the final line of dialogue is the title of the movie?
I was watching Chinatown last night (great movie, btw!) and got to the final scene already knowing what the last line is, cause it’s famous and all, but only then clicked that the last word spoken is the title of the movie. (I know you can hear some cops sorta talking in the background as the camera pans out but I don’t think anyone would say that is the final dialogue in the movie).
Anyway, got me thinking, what are some other movies like this? Last words are the title of the film.

I’d argue he’s the second most powerful member of The Seven
(Note, I’m doing TV Show Black Noir)
Black Noir is my favorite character in The Boys only second to Stormfront (cause she’s hot). So I always wanted to publicly share where I scale Noir, but before I do this, I have to share a few stuff stuff.
The Boys Presents Diabolical is mostly canon, specifically episodes 6,7 and 8.
That’s really all, now sit back and enjoy (or dislike) this answer.
Section 1: AP
Black Noir’s AP feat-wise isn’t too impressive since his speed is the real deal, but he’s still no joke since he’s able to fight and defeat Kimiko in a battle.
(I consider this fight to be an outlier since Black Noir should be faster than her, but it doesn’t change the fight since Black Noir is stronger)
And keep in mind this is the same Kimiko that survived attacks from A-Train
And even reacted to A Train while he was going fast
Kimiko speed feat
Imgur: The magic of the Internet
https://imgur.com/a/C5EF0Y1
This says a lot since she was badly damaged while fighting Noir (Had to use her self healing to survive), and she didn’t even get harmed that much while fighting A-Train since she got back up a few seconds later.
And he has shown himself to be much stronger than Starlight in multiple instances
This is the same Starlight that survived an attack from Stormfront (Same with Kimiko)
And Starlight tanked a Serbu BFG 50A with no injury
Starlight durability #1
Imgur: The magic of the Internet
https://imgur.com/a/crwJMq7
So already Noir scales above Kimiko and Starlight and scales above A Train due to a better performance aganist Kimiko, you could also argue his AP being at least on par with Maeve due to the tree nut scene and her deciding to use tree nuts instead of fighting him.
But it’s an iffy argument, doesn’t really matter though cause I think Noir beats her regardless.
Section 2: Speed
My favorite section yet.
Noir is stated to be much faster than a car
Not too impressive but this is just the start.
Black Noir was consistently able to dodge Homelander’s beams
And dodged Homelander himself

Everything he said and did made me laugh. Shia wore the weirdest outfits, said random shit that rhymed, had no eyebrows, and seemed to be having a blast. Coppola mentioned that he wanted him for the role since 2019. The fact that it was said in his normal grumpy voice made it just seem stranger. In particular, I liked the scene of him and his right hand man guy throwing their hats and coats, yelling at the crowd, and saying “revenge tastes best, while wearing a dress” Also his fate of getting hung upside down by the Maga guys, pleading “don’t tread on me” and getting a red hat thrown at him was the cherry on top submitted by /u/Odd_Advance_6438 [link] [comments]

He was 72. Blanc died early Friday morning after suffering a heart attack the previous night, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP). Blanc was known for his role as the awkward bachelor Jean-Claude Dusse in the 1978 film “Les Bronzés” (“French Fried Vacation”), directed by Patrice Leconte. He starred in the 1979 and 2006 follow-up films to the cult French comedy. Blanc was also revered for his dramatic performances in film, including in Leconte’s 1989 crime thriller “Monsieur Hire,” where he played the titular character. I recently watched Primal Fear, with Richard Gere and Edward Norton. And I was amazed by Norton's performance as Aaron Stampler I read online that many young actors tried to get casted as Aaron, but none of them were good enough. Richard Gere was going to leave the project until Norton appeared. I also think that a similar issue happended with Hans Landa's character in Inglorious Basterds, due to the actor needing to be fluent in several languages, aside from the complexity of the character of course. Are there any more examples like these ones? submitted by /u/xabierlpz [link] [comments]
Ever since I can remember Grease was always the word. The soundtrack was played at school discos back in the 80s, it was always on TV and it seemed to be almost sacrilegious NOT to have watched it. I know that for Aussies this absolutely has something to do with ONJ being in it - but was it as big in America? Sorry if this is a stupid question! submitted by /u/cupcakesandarsenic [link] [comments]
None of these are recent but obviously spoilers for the endings of these movies. I just rewatched Eden Lake, having forgotten how bleak the ending is. She's hunted relentlessly and has to watch the brutal torture and murder of her boyfriend, and an innocent child, then she kills one of them in self defence and escapes but the people who save her... Well they turn out to be the family of the one she killed. Seeing her dragged back into the bathroom, not knowing what they'll do to her exactly... it's haunting. Other ones that come to mind are A Serbian Film and The Descent (the original ending, where after escaping the tunnel she wakes up and realises she hallucinated or dreamt it and is actually still trapped with no hope). Just knowing that the protagonists went through all the hell of the movie to not even get a happy ending... it's so sad. submitted by /u/ShutUpImAPrincess [link] [comments]
I built a website that classifies Movies and TV Shows in more detailed manner than just Genres: DNA: Excerpt of first few categories The full list of categories is: Sub-Genres Mood Themes Plot Cultural Impact Character Types Dialog Narrative Humor Pacing Time Place Cinematic Style Score and Sound Costume and Set Key Props Target Audience Flag Similar titles are found by looking for similar tag combinations. I also show which streaming services are available and what the ratings are at IMDb, Metacritic + Rotten Tomatoes. In my opinion this is a unique way of exploring new titles to watch. What do you think, would you try it? Not sure if I'm allowed to post the link here, I'm just very interested in your feedback. submitted by /u/alp82 [link] [comments]
So I’ve started to watch only 80s era horror movies (Tubi ftw). I’ve seen a few which are pure schlock (nearly anything ending in III or higher) and some are just awesome (The Thing, Poltergeist, Nightmare on Elm St) and then you get a gem like Lifeforce. Is it sci-fi? Is it horror? It’s got zombies (slow or fast), possession, space vampires, Sir Patrick Stewart, space shuttles, magic swords, pure cheesecake naked vampire energy lady, reanimated corpses, threat of a nuclear London, totally not sexy make out scenes, and so much more. I don’t know how this got made but glad it was. submitted by /u/joepez [link] [comments]

With Megaflopolis meeting critical and commercial failure, what are some examples of filmmakers making complicated or expensive choices that actually paid off? This can be scenes, whole movies, or just aspects of the process. The one that comes to mind is the shootout in “Heat.” When testing the scene, they used a sound stage, which would have produced a perfectly serviceable scene. Michael Mann hated it, and instead spent 3 weeks having his actors trained by SAS soldiers, police officers, and “casing” the bank they would film at. Then the actually scene itself was shoot on location, using blanks. Ultimately though, this produced one of the greatest shootouts in movie history. submitted by /u/Misterfahrenheit120 [link] [comments]

I just watched Rebel Ridge and had no idea the direction the movie was going in. I just showed my wife this movie, loved it! And we are left with a big question, who is the daughter! The one in the real world that Amy Adam's character calls? My theory: I think I'm now leaning into the idea that she is imagined.. the way she is displayed, laying naked, same as the daughter who was murdered in the scene previous. She's imagining the daughter she never had, the one she aborted, Edward's story hit her so hard, she's now trying to picture what could have been? My wife and I are so confused. submitted by /u/PatrickBrown2 [link] [comments]

We know that the approach to the four Pirates of the Caribbean movies, as well as movies like Rango, was basically: write some thematic suites that encapsulate the tone of the movie, other composers use that thematic material to write the actual score of the movie under his supervision. I have theorized that Zimmer may take a more active "real composer" role in the movies he's done for Nolan, aside from occasional help from trusted collaborators like Lorne Balfe, who we know contributed to Inception. But what about the movies that Zimmer couldn't possibly be bothered to write even a suite for? For instance, Zimmer is credited as sole composer for all three Madagascar movies. But does anyone really believe he wrote even a single note of music for those films? If anything at all, it amounted to "here's 3 minutes. Interns 1-5, write the other 70 minutes." Rinse and repeat another two times. Basically the Pirates approach, but with far less work put in. Ditto for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, where it's generally accepted that Zimmer wrote the "main theme", and Lorne Balfe wrote literally everything else. In which case, crediting the score as being composed by "Hans Zimmer and Lorne Balfe" feels like a sick joke. But I'm not certain even that level of involvement would be required. Contracts are a beautiful thing. They can be written in a way that doesn't mandate Mr. Zimmer actually create any music himself, but he's still credited as sole composer. What do you think? I know music is a relatively niche aspect of the filmmaking process, but I'm sure some of you here are interested in it, and some of the you who are interested in it also know about the widespread practice of ghostwriting film scores. A practice largely pioneered by Zimmer. This is not a "hate Zimmer" thread. The man is supremely talented on multiple facets. But he is pretty much the exemplar of "work smart, not hard" in film music. submitted by /u/Danielnrg [link] [comments]
