No. Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever is a Sony movie, not a Warner Bros. movie. Also, HBO Max will no longer be streaming theatrical movies in 2022. This year, however, Warner Bros. theatrical movies will have a 45-day theaters-only run before moving to HBO Max.)
Lupita Nyongo will be the new Black Panther. The opening of the trailer shows her in the Black Panther suit and she is missing from the rest of the trailer.
n the trailer the Queen/Bassett says her entire family is dead. It also shows Lupita giving birth to T’Challa’s child.
So, the Atlanteans attack. Shuri is killed in her attempt to take the BP mantle and defend Wakandan, or maybe captured and presumed dead. Then Nakia gives birth. Somehow a heart shaped herb is found and given to her, she is powered up and quickly recovers from giving birth (she may even take it while pregnant because she is seriously injured in the Atlantean attack.) Nakia becomes BP and queen regent. She fights Namor, and maybe also rescues Shuri.
Something like that.

Trying to wrap my head around why they called the movie Death of a Ladies Man but used Bird on a Wire instead.
The movie was “inspired by the songs of Leonard Cohen.” So, I assume they’re going to use more than one.

What TV show was amazing at first but became unwatchable for you later on?
Heroes
Season 1 was great and fresh. Season 2 didn’t know what to do with itself and just started giving everyone super powers.
By Season 3, characters were just changing motivations at the drop of a hat and it was just a huge mess of bad writing.
The blacklist, so many loopholes and a never ending plot. I mean, the female hero (forgot her name) was wanted and had her pictures broadcast nationwide live, but a couple of weeks after she can do undercover work.
Not the worst offender, but That 70’s Show tanked pretty hard once Eric left. He was sorely needed to make the chemistry of the group work.
Once Upon a Time. The first 3 seasons were good! And then after that they just kept getting worse

What are movies where the final line of dialogue is the title of the movie?
I was watching Chinatown last night (great movie, btw!) and got to the final scene already knowing what the last line is, cause it’s famous and all, but only then clicked that the last word spoken is the title of the movie. (I know you can hear some cops sorta talking in the background as the camera pans out but I don’t think anyone would say that is the final dialogue in the movie).
Anyway, got me thinking, what are some other movies like this? Last words are the title of the film.

I’d argue he’s the second most powerful member of The Seven
(Note, I’m doing TV Show Black Noir)
Black Noir is my favorite character in The Boys only second to Stormfront (cause she’s hot). So I always wanted to publicly share where I scale Noir, but before I do this, I have to share a few stuff stuff.
The Boys Presents Diabolical is mostly canon, specifically episodes 6,7 and 8.
That’s really all, now sit back and enjoy (or dislike) this answer.
Section 1: AP
Black Noir’s AP feat-wise isn’t too impressive since his speed is the real deal, but he’s still no joke since he’s able to fight and defeat Kimiko in a battle.
(I consider this fight to be an outlier since Black Noir should be faster than her, but it doesn’t change the fight since Black Noir is stronger)
And keep in mind this is the same Kimiko that survived attacks from A-Train
And even reacted to A Train while he was going fast
Kimiko speed feat
Imgur: The magic of the Internet
https://imgur.com/a/C5EF0Y1
This says a lot since she was badly damaged while fighting Noir (Had to use her self healing to survive), and she didn’t even get harmed that much while fighting A-Train since she got back up a few seconds later.
And he has shown himself to be much stronger than Starlight in multiple instances
This is the same Starlight that survived an attack from Stormfront (Same with Kimiko)
And Starlight tanked a Serbu BFG 50A with no injury
Starlight durability #1
Imgur: The magic of the Internet
https://imgur.com/a/crwJMq7
So already Noir scales above Kimiko and Starlight and scales above A Train due to a better performance aganist Kimiko, you could also argue his AP being at least on par with Maeve due to the tree nut scene and her deciding to use tree nuts instead of fighting him.
But it’s an iffy argument, doesn’t really matter though cause I think Noir beats her regardless.
Section 2: Speed
My favorite section yet.
Noir is stated to be much faster than a car
Not too impressive but this is just the start.
Black Noir was consistently able to dodge Homelander’s beams
And dodged Homelander himself

I've seen people discuss how unbelievably tragic this documentary is and the case it is based on, so I've always knew I had to find out. I didn't quite understand why everyone advises watching this with no knowledge since I think of the emotional impact being no lessened with previous information, but I finally watched it for the first time recently with no understanding and I now fully understand why this is a destruction of hope to people. Seeing the footage of Andrew Bagby being the most beautiful person to be around and how fondly everyone of his widespread family and friends talk about him made it only worse as the story went on. The fact that the justice system gave zero thought about someone's murder and chose to let Shirley Turner walk free and taunt Andrew's parents over custody of Zachary was agitating. Zachary seemed like such a kind little boy with a lot ahead of him and really supportive, loving grandparents and family to protect him. But because of bad legal morals, that poor boy suffered the same fate as his father at the hands of the She-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named (how many times I swore when I found out she drowned Zachary 😡). It was absolutely soul-shattering to find out that an innocent, kind-hearted man's life was taken by a inhumane manipulator who proceeded to have his baby and then take both her and Andrew's child's life because the little boy rightfully loved his grandparents more. How a justice system could be so incompetent is scary and I share total empathy for what Andrew and Zachary's family went through in the span of two years, let alone the absolute worst of it (I suffered a personal tragedy through an accident a few years ago. The fact that sometimes it's by someone purposefully is enraging and here twice…). Andrew and Zachary are so lucky their relatives and friends never gave up, campaigning new laws and spreading the word through this documentary. This case is proof that's someone the method set up to punish wrongdoers can be so fragile that it let's dangerous people into the world (and they paid the price heavily for Shirley's handling here). I will probably never forget this case and hope those unaware eventually discover it. Even though it makes hope seem redundant, the efforts to honour Andrew and Zachary's legacy by preventing anything similar to anyone else is enough to show that tragedy can be prevented if done right ❤️🩹🥲💔😡😭 submitted by /u/Pop_Advocate_3282 [link] [comments]
For example, in Jumper (2008), David and Millie appeared as high school age kids and later as 20-something young adults, each played by two different actors. I believed that Max Thieriot would grow up to be Hayden Christensen, and that AnnaSophia Robb would grow up to be Rachel Bilson. What are your favorite examples of good casting of young actors and older actors playing the same character? submitted by /u/Snoo-35252 [link] [comments]
Like the title says I'm looking for the best "oh shit" twists in a heist film and the scene in which they were revealed. Especially parts when it looks like the protagonists have been rumbled but they anticipated the rumbling and the other antagonist finds out. Like they knew it was coming and accounted for it, if fact it was part of the plan all along. You son of a bitch. Think the bank vault video in Oceans Eleven. submitted by /u/svenaggedon [link] [comments]
I heard Big Poppa the other day by Biggie and all I could think of was the movie Hardball. Similarly Endless Love now officially belongs to Happy Gilmore, in my head at least. A few other examples to me are: - Superstar by the Carpenters in Tommy Boy - Stuck in the Middle with You in Resevoir Dogs - Nightcall by Kavinsky in Drive - Bohemian Rhapsody in Wayne’s World What songs belong to a movie to you? submitted by /u/Dan__Glesak [link] [comments]
I was 7 years old when Total Recall (1990) Came out. Its the first movie I can remember that I was completely hyped up to see. The commercials had me begging my mom to take me when it came out. I just finished watching The Zone of Interest movie last night and wow... I thought the cinematography and sound mixing were haunting and upsetting. This movie went beyond my expectations action wise, comedy, and over the top bat sh** crazy...it was really good and for the theater to be empty was a real shame... I hope more people go see this movie as it was definitely up to the hype from critics...Bill Skarsgard absolutely killed it...you could tell he worked hard physically for the role and the inventiveness of the fight scenes were up to par with heavy hitters like the raid films and villianess. I'd like to know if anyone else has seen it or planning to and your thoughts! submitted by /u/Movieking985 [link] [comments]

What is your favorite acting family and why? I’ll go first! I have a couple — I LOVE the Skarsgard’s (Skellan, Alexander, Gustav, Bill). Almost everything I’ve seen with them has been great, especially Skellan, and they just seem like a tight knit clan that support each other and I love that. I also LOVE the Sutherland’s (Donald and Kiefer) two just incredible outstanding actors that make everything they touch turn to gold. I generally check out the reviews of a movie before I go to see it, but I'm finding it harder and harder to find out anything of substance from reviews. I used to watch At the Movies with Ebert and Roeper back in the day, and they would typically give you a sense of what was valuable about a movie and what kind of viewer it would appeal to. These days, reviews all seem to boil down to "MOVIE GOOD" or "MOVIE BAD" + a shit-ton of puns. I really started paying attention to this with the Wonka movie. Every single review was just a series of chocolate or candy-related puns that didn't actually tell you anything about the movie. It's a sweet treat, or it's a feast for the eyes, or whatever. Like, OK, I get it, it's about chocolate. That's not why I am reading a fucking review. I'm finding the same thing with Challengers. On Rotten Tomatoes: "With its trio of outstanding performers volleying their star power back and forth without ever dropping the ball, Challengers is a kinetic and sexy romp at court." That literally tells me nothing. OK, the movie has movie stars and it's about tennis. Great. Why does that mean I should pay money to watch it? I don't know if I'm just looking in the wrong places, but I really wish there was some kind of nuanced and honest (and pun-free) movie review source like the old review shows. Rant over. submitted by /u/Charles_Benes [link] [comments]
I watched this movie a lot when I was young. Walton Goggins did such a good job at playing a greasy bad guy that I hated him and I think that imprinted onto me and haven't even liked looking at him. I recently finished Fallout and now my opinion has completely changed. I think he is such a good actor and just does so well at what he does. submitted by /u/yoda1980 [link] [comments]

I’m totally hooked on romantic flicks lately, and I’m craving some new recommendations to add to my watchlist. I’m talking about those movies that make you swoon, cry, and believe in love all over again. Whether it’s a classic like "The Notebook" or something more recent like "La La Land," I’m all ears for your suggestions. Bonus points if it’s a hidden gem that’s not on everyone’s radar yet. And hey, feel free to share why you love the movie too! Is it the chemistry between the leads, the epic grand gestures, or just the overall feels it gives you? Can’t wait to see what you all come up with! Let’s make this thread a go-to resource for anyone in need of a good romance fix. submitted by /u/Shoulder-Warmhearted [link] [comments]
Which "imagined future" portrayed in a movie resonated with you the most? In the vein of what you think our future is actually going to look like; do you (for example) think that we could actually see Bladerunner-esque cities? My pick would be nathan and kyoko in ex machina. Nathan didn't deserve to go out the way he did. He deserved another half hour minimum of authoritative move busting. Those two danced my soul straight out of my body. Tom cruise as les Grossman is like a dancing mack truck and holds his own in the ring but ex machina takes the cake for me. submitted by /u/stopitlikeacheeto [link] [comments]
My parents (mid-60s) are coming to visit my wife and me (late 20s) this weekend and I would love to see what this sub thinks we should watch. My dad and my wife and I are all pretty big movie watchers with broad tastes, while my mom tends not to watch as many movies and can be a bit picky. She generally won't go for anything that's hyperviolent or contains a lot of swearing, and she especially doesn't like horror movies. Whatever the top-voted answer ends up being, I'll try to get us to sit down and watch it Saturday night, and I'll return with an update on how it went. As the title says — what are some examples of films where a character or several characters are absolutely doomed and they have to time to recognize that fact and react? How did they react? Did they accept it? Curse the situation? Talk with loved ones? Ones that come to mind for me (though I doubt they are the saddest example) are Erso and Andor’s death in Rogue One, Sydney Carton’s death (Ronald Colman version) in A Tale of Two Cities, Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, etc. What are the best examples of this trope? submitted by /u/finditplz1 [link] [comments]
Firstly this is not to knock JH. But rather to use him as a case study for an actor's career and decisions. JH is definitely coming back to the mainstream with Oppenheimer and Trap. But I see in his filmography that he's been consistently working almost every year since his first film in 1998. Though perhaps in non-mainstream and lesser known films during the last 15-20 years. Some thoughts: a. I would say it's a real come back if he made no films at all during his 'quiet' years. b. During his 'quiet' years did he take on these lesser roles by choice (to stay active in the industry) or not (to pay bills)? Happy to hear any input. submitted by /u/br153 [link] [comments]
I'm not talking about movies where the outright villain has a point, that's quite common and often intentional. More like if the hero has an annoying sidekick who keeps insisting they shouldn't do something...but doing that thing would be stupid. Just someone who you're supposed to side against but if you think about it don't or have some reaction of "This guy is kind of an asshole but he's not wrong." So the movie that I always thought of this for was 1408. Samuel L. Jackson has a much more extended role than it needs to be (probably to use him more in promotion) as the manager of the hotel that has the evil room in it. Some of the marketing even kind of implied that he was the villain or evil in some way. But all he does is be really persistent in trying to convince John Cusack's character from not staying in the evil room...and he's not wrong obviously. Like the worst thing you can say about him is that his motives are a bit selfish and he's mostly concerned with the hotel's reputation, but what he wants is better for both the hotel and Cusack. And the worst thing he does is maybe try to outright bribe Cusack from staying there? But that's maybe just a little shady, but it's not even illegal in this context. You only get annoyed with him because if Cusack doesn't stay in the room the movie can't happen, but it makes more sense to not stay there. submitted by /u/thedubiousstylus [link] [comments]
the most iconic element of the dune franchise is the sandworms. they are among the most iconic giant monsters in all of pop culture. given their iconography, you'd think that dune parts 1 and 2 would feature them pretty prominently. well, no actually. in the first dune movie, the sandworm only has about a minute of screentime. and in part 2, they have slightly more screentime but not a whole lot. however, this is actually not a terrible thing. although they don't have much screentime, they make what little screentime they have count. they are at the center of some of the best scenes of the duology. also, overusing them would have desensitized us to them and made them less impressive. it's like the shark from jaws. it builds up the sandworms and then gives us a glorious reveal. the usage of the sandworms is a perfect example of less being more. submitted by /u/herequeerandgreat [link] [comments]
Hello everyone! You may be familiar with my story, which has been shared over the years on Reddit. In 1998 in Japan, I won an audition to take part in a challenge. I was led into a room, ordered to strip naked, and left with a stack of magazines and postcards. My task was to enter contests in order to win food, clothing and prizes to survive, until I reached the prize goal of 1 million yen. This lasted 15 months, all while 15 million people watched me - without my consent. Hulu will be releasing a documentary on my life called "The Contestant," premiering on May 2. You can watch the trailer HERE. I'm looking forward to answering your questions on Wednesday 4/24 starting at 12:30 pm PT/3:30 pm ET. Thank you!
