i want to delete all my archive group chats and individual numbers. i have one group chat for school that i got removed from but before i was removed (i was removed for being inactive) i put it on archived for a while until i saw that i was removed. if i go a click on delete group chat will it removed the group chat for others to use or just to me that others wont know i deleted it from a notification. submitted by /u/Star_tanyole [link] [comments]

as the title says, I can’t recover my chats because I deleted them thinking they were the archived ones. I have an iPhone and I tried to delete the app and download it again, I went through my settings to do iCloud backup but I didn’t have any. I want an option to disable the Meta AI from WhatsApp. Meta AI is not something I want in my communication app. @Meta stop cluttering our experience with options we don't ask for. Hi, I had blocked some of my contacts on WhatsApp and then transferred my WhatsApp number. Most of my contacts did get notified but I know the blocked ones didn’t. So my phone died completely with no data available. However, i have set a backup for WhatsApp and i see it always syncing, but my problem is i don't remember the full email i used for backup. So, after 32 days of my account being banned, I had the option to submit another request to review my account, and so I did. After 18 hours, I entered the app and saw the message that my account has been restored. So in short. My old Android broke. Like stopped functioning (I'd bought it in 2019). I got a new iPhone15 and thought chats would be backed up since i had the back up feature was enabled. I recently shifted to my new iPhone. The classic Desktop application used to run just fine with my old Android. But now, I am unable to login into Desktop version without encountering this error. What happened: Some of my own phone contacts had ended up on her Android phone - I had temporarily added my Google account to her phone when doing something with an app for us. I deleted my Google account afterwards assuming all traces of it would disappear but loads of my phone contacts remained on her device. So I tried to delete my contacts from her phone - I went into Android Contacts, played with filters until I determined that showing just Whatsapp Read Only contacts showed up my contacts so, after checking her Google Accounts contacts were already in the cloud with her Google Account (by logging in to her Google account on a laptop), I selected all of those Whatsapp contacts and hit delete. My old contacts were successfully removed. However, I am concerned that I *might* have deleted some of her Whatsapp contacts that may have not been synced with her Google Account as she now only has 285 contacts on her phone - I'd expect her to have many more as she uses her phone for work and personal and she's 36 so should have built up many contacts over the years (I have close to 1000). Questions Is it possible / likely that I would have also deleted some of her contacts that only lived in whatsapp readonly contacts? If so can I recover them at all? Of course I can ask her to sense check if all her contacts are on there but I'd like to be able to restore them without asking her if possible or, if I do ask her, I'd like to be prepared with a solution to restore them first!
